Gordon is a horrible passer, he should never play the point

But also, I think it hurts his scoring. I like him much better as a catch and shoot type of player. Plus him controlling/having the ball (and that he's playing for a contract) makes me uneasy, there are times the selfishness shows. I can't stand when they do the pick and roll, he gets double teamed, and instead of feeding the open rolling big man (even if it's Gray) he takes the shot doubleteamed anyways

Yeah, what are the chances Gray hit's the shot?

I think he's great at getting into the Bigs, actually. That's one of the things that has impressed me about when he's playing point - his entry passes into Gray, especially.

Meanwhile, regarding the pick and roll, you can say that about every Bulls guard. But, again, I think that's also part of what Gordon's being asked to do - score first. If he was asked to get others involved first, then I think, while you'd still see some selfishness (just as you do with Kirk), you'd see much more setting up of others.

Quite frankly, I like the Bulls ball movement much more with Gordon at point than with Kirk. The last couple of games have had tons of excellent ball movement with Gordon at point - only a couple of times has he really annoyed me with a decision in the half court offense (and one of those, a pull up 3 real early in the clock, he hit).

Give the guy a shot. If he doesn't progress and develop, well, then he doesn't. But might as well try. I don't see a reason not to, other than to protect Kirk's status as a "pg" - where Kirk can just as easily be a SG and has really failed to develop as a pg over the last 5 seasons.

Tyrus and Gray are very capable of making the mid-range shot. Then we have Smith who is money...

... so id prefer Gordon pass to one of open big men opposed to him shooting under duress. Gordon is a good scorer, but he aint that good.
Why so serious?
