Consider trading him?

Hmm, no I think playing him with Jose and Bosh every now and then, guys who will actually get him open shots with Jose's penetration, and Bosh's double teams, I think that might just be a better option for one of the best shooters in the world, than letting him waste away on the bench, or play him with guys who can't create shots for him. Just a thought.

There are a lot of teams that could use a guy like Kapono, but I don't know if any are willing to take that 6 mil/yr contract we so generously signed him to.

LeBron could definitely use some 3-pt help.

Kapono's value is really hard to gauge for me. But, I think he would be regarded as a quality pickup for a lot of teams.

I'd be interested to know what we could get for him. I'd be open to trading him mostly because his style of play is pretty redundant here and his weaknesses are magnified playing next to other weak defenders. He's a great shooter, but offers little outside of that.

I was just thinking a little bit and an idea revolving around a Humphries + Kapono for Foster + S.Williams type of trade would be great for us. I definitely think it's in our favour and we'd need to add more to the deal, but Kapono would fit great into Obie's system. I doubt they give up on Williams so fast though. They take on salary in the long run too. (though, it's doubtful they get under the cap with JO, Murphy & Dunleavy anytime soon). Maybe if we throw in our 1st. I don't know if I'd do that though.

Of course, we add a couple of guys who would be great here IMO.

Just a thought.

Keep him, he serves his purpose when used correctly. He'll come in handy for the playoffs.

Here' what I think: The guy was brought in to shoot threes. In the last 11 games, he's shot exactly 6 of those and hit 2. Basically, he's provided us with 0.18 three per game in those games.

If he doesn't want to shoot the three, put Graham in. He plays better defense, he rebounds way better, and he gets to the line. On top of that, he's no slouch in shooting.

Kapono's purpose, IMO, is to prevent teams from packing it in against us in the playoffs and sit in Bosh's lap the way NJ did to us in the playoffs last year. I would like him to be more effective now, but in reality, the time where his effectiveness should be judged is in the playoffs when teams try to pack in it in the interior against us, forcing Bosh to shoot jumpers, and forcing our PGs to be scorers.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive
