I really don't see the Heat as serious tankers unless Smush Parker gets more playing time, or better yet, becomes your starter. He can help you "win" like there's no tomorrow.

In this season of bad moves and luck, the only way to guarantee winning the lottery would be sending Smush up as our representative. Or maybe the valet Smush hit.

From this table, you'll see that we've had a relatively easy schedule, but not as easy as the Wolves, Grizzlies, Sonics, Pacers and 76ers who have been fortunate enough to play many non-lottery contending teams. We will have more games as the season wears on that will help us towards that big ping pong draw in the sky. Unfortunately, dark-horse Clippers, the always present Knicks and the Bobcats have been mired in playing other lotto contenders and their progress points have taken a dip. We'll have to keep our eyes on them from here out. Hopefully Gerald Wallace, and the Knicks recent slump will hurt their causes.

No meaningful games today (Spurs, Lakers, Cavs, Suns, Nuggets, Jazz). I swear some of these teams are trying to tank their way to the NBA finals.

Heat had a awful 3rd quater, but once again they get hot in the end, and keep on the streak. Yay.

Wade had a really poor shooting night. He should have taken tips from Jason Williams. Jason Williams knows what winning is all about.

No offense, but your avatar makes me want to throw up.

Wade and Shaq had me worried for a while tonight, nice clutch 4th to close it out though. Tomorrow we need everyone in form big one against the Knicks!

Ricky had me the most worried. He is mostly good at closing out games, but he started to have a negative impact on the game. He turned the ball over for a three and than turned it over to Jwill for the three. I'm sure he will get his game back on track against the Knicks.

Nothing like a little competition from Luke to get him going, we might need to turn to him tomorrow if the Knicks put up a fight and an Isiah coached team is always going to be in it.

As of today shaq has announce his permanently retirement from basketball....... well thats what im going to imagine from now on. Everytime shaq hits the court all im going to see is earl barron who looks like he's been hanging out with eddy curry and a few big macs for too long.

Update: Standings at 21/01/08

1. Minnesota --
2. Miami 2.0
3. Seattle 2.5
4. Memphis 6.0
5. New York 6.5
6. LA Clippers 7.5
7. Philadelphia 9.0
8. Charlotte 9.5
9. Milwaukee 9.5
10. Chicago 11.0
11. Sacramento 11.5
12. New Jersey 12.0
13. Houston 15.5
14. Utah 17.0

Closed the gap on Minnesota today. They proved they are not as invincible as they seemed, dropping one to Golden State by only one point. We've made significant ground on most teams, with it seeming to be a three team race. Seattle, Minnesota and Miami are all playing champagne basketball as of now, with Miami surviving a tough game by New York, which I had picked to be our downfall. A look ahead for these three teams:

Miami:
Thu, Jan 24 San Antonio 8:00 pm
San Antonio will be a cake walk for us

Sat, Jan 26 Indiana 3:30 pm
While this game seems like a tough matchup, this is an early game (3:30 pm) and the Heat historically turn up in very good lotto form, plus for some reason we seem to have Indy's number

Tue, Jan 29 Boston 7:30 pm
Should have no problems with this team, who are not even in the same league as us (hardly have any progress points all season)

Wed, Jan 30 at Orlando 7:00 pm
I can't see us losing this one on a back-to-back They are an outside shooting team with our former coach and a 20/10 center. Conditions are perfect.

Minnesota:
Wed, Jan 23 Phoenix 8:00 pm
Minny will be stinging from their loss today, will this malaise carry over against this severely inferior team? We can only hope.

Fri, Jan 25 at Boston 7:30 pm
The Wolves can't allow themselves to take these teams easily, any of these bottom dwellers can surprise on any night. No back to backs in these 4 games could hopefully hurt their cause with an upset.

Sun, Jan 27 New Jersey 6:30 pm
New Jersey is on a 5 game winning streak and Minny will be at home for this one, can Minnesota drop this one?

Tue, Jan 29 at Chicago 8:30 pm
I think Minnesota can get this quite easily unfortunately.

Seattle:
Wed, Jan 23 Houston 10:00 pm
Houston is unfortunately more vulnerable now that McGrady has returned. Seattle should pull this out quite handidly

Fri, Jan 25 Atlanta 10:30 pm
Seattle could drop this game, although Atlanta has been worse than seasons past, definately one to watch

Sun, Jan 27 Sacramento 9:00 pm
Seattle has some good luck with players back from injury. With Ron Artest and Mike Bibby back, it should ensure those progress points for Seattle

Tue, Jan 29 San Antonio 10:00 pm
Seattle can sleepwalk through this game and still win.

Return to Miami Heat
