C- Gasol

Notes-

*I'm assuming Hinrich will start because he looks to be back into the mix of things, especially now with Duhon hurt. The Bulls said there was no ligament damage and that it was a bruise, but it looked worse than a bruise.

*Not sure if Deng will need another game or not, and Rudy Gay may be back from his flu.

I thought this game would also be on TNT?

I had it in the thread title but did not post it in the threads. Thanks for reminding me.

I would also like to pull a Joe Smith and wish everyone a Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

From what I saw against Charlotte, Memphis are playing Gasol at the 5 with Conley and Navarro,Gay and Bobby Jones at the forward. Darko has been coming off the bench, not completely sure why.

I think when Miller is playing, they have been running a 3 guard rotation with Conley, Navarro and Miller, then playing Gay at the PF with Gasol at the 5.

I guess so. I watched quite a few of their games early on in the season, haven't seen any of the recent ones.

So then it will be Gasol vs Wallace then (if he is playing center). That will be something I guess.

I brought it up since the OP had Darko playing Center in his lineup (since edited)

Iavaroni gets off playing that PHX 4 scheme of his whenever somebody from the Grizz frontcourt goes down. Mostly Darko in this season's case. With MM not expected to play on Monday. He's set to go with the PHX 4 scheme. I can't tell ppl how many games the Grizz got burned by with Iavaroni playing Rudy Gay at PF. The Grizzlies are not the Phoenix Suns.

Surprisingly Memphis are quite an enjoyable team to watch, I think so anyway considering they are a basement team. Offensively they are quite faced paced which could make an interesting matchup, they can really score the ball. The defensive end is where they are let down, they are horrid on this end of the floor, if they win it will be because they simply scored the ball better than us, which may seem obvious as that is the aim of the game! They just shouldn't stop us defensively, I would be real worried if we struggled to score against this team.

Agreed - this should be a hell of alot of fun to watch. Both teams will score 100, and I wouldn't be surprised with a 120-110 score.

Memphis is averaging 101.4ppg and allowing 105.5

Duhon didn't travel with the team to Memphis, so Thabo should get lots of playing time again.

I'm interested in seeing how Memphis plays with Conley as the starting PG.

No. Be prepared for a Griffin/Hinrich starting lineup. Boylan will want Tyrus at the 2 for at least a few minutes.
