I have been playing around with deals for NY to get flexibility and still get talent.
NY GETS: Hedo Turkoglu, Pat Garrity, Keith Bogans, Carlos Arroyo, Tony Battie, Orlando #1 in 08
ORL GETS: Eddy Curry, Randolph Morris, Jamal Crawford, Quentin Richardson, Nate Robinson
Orlando
Nelson/Robinson
Crawford/Evans
Lewis/Richardson
Howard/Morris
Curry/Foyle
New York
Marbury/Arroyo
Bogans/Balkman
Jefferies/Chandler
Lee/Rose
Randolph/James
The Knicks get out of some long and expensive deals and lose talent, but given they are destined for top 5 pick, they can replace that. This also cuts down on non-rookie deals lasting three years plus in half (6 to 3). The Magic make a deal that makes them instant contenders for the next four years. Their starting lineup is all of guys with four year deals, and if they can play Curry at the 5 and Howard at the 4, they would have the best down low tandem in the league.

Aside from Turkeyglue, the other "players" are barely even alive.

You noticed that too??? And how quickly Magic fans strike to protect that garbage.
Honestly, even then it's hard to tell.
But you know what they'll say..."at least the Magic is better than the Knicks, nyah, nyah, nyah". To which, if you add Dwight Howard to the Knicks, the Knicks would be better than the Magic so those players being offered to NY still end up being CRAP just CRAP on a losing team which is what they'd be if this deal were to go down.

The same can be said the other way. After Curry, there's no one remotely interesting in that package, and we don't even want Curry.

If Dwight Howard were on the Knicks they would be slightly less terrible. He would still have to fight all the bums for the ball. I heard this same talk when Randolph showed up. Kobe couldn't fix the Knicks, they are more messed up than one player can salvage.

With Isiah Thomas and the thugs on his team, the Knicks being a good team is not something that can be done in this world.
