Good article. Rafer reminds me of a lot of people I used to know growing up: lazy, spoiled, and they thought they knew everything.

I like his concluding remark, "You were right all along. I wish I'd gone to class."

lol no wonder he plays so well against Marbury i think he still feels the need to prove hes better than him from back when he was younger..

Nice article i like a true story where an inner city kid finally gets "it"

From what I read it seemed like his family was dirt poor growing up. I'd say hard-headed is a better term for his case. You can't fault him though, at least I won't because I have no idea what it'd be like to be raised like he was. Good read.

By "spoiled" I mean that a lot of people tried to help him, but he didn't care and instead started believing that he was entitled to certain things.

"Egotistical" is probably a better word, as is the one you already suggested.

Return to Houston Rockets
