If nothing else I do respect the fact that Gilbert Arenas does seem to go out of his way, at least on occasion, to do things for the fans that most NBA players would probably never dream of.

It is hard not to like him as a person after reading this story or past stories regarding his charity work and openness with fans.

Gilbert is an awesome dude. I always try to message Ben Gordon thru AIM but he never responds.

I wish more NBA stars got more personal w/ there fans

Sean Taylor got shot, Antoine and other NBA players were robbed in their own homes. You can't be too sure.

Just as sure as there are people who want to genuinely get to know the guy just as a person, there are millions of women who want to have his baby in order to be set and millions of dudes that would like to have an "alone" moment with him in order to empty his pockets. It's just cool as hell that Gilbert did something smooth like that. Pretty solid joint on the real. I definitely can't deny that the guy is a positive in the league. If only other players would take a step away from the norm and be more human.......
