Yep, and Golden State are very capable of it. Again last night we played 3 pretty solid quarters of basketball, we got screwed by the refs and the warriors made EVERYTHING in the 3rd. This shouldn't be mistaken for a disgraceful showing, GS are a very good team who got red hot. In the past few weeks we've played some excellent ball and had close losses to Utah, PHX and LA after running them close for 3 quarters, I don't think things are as bad as they appear.

He played defense when he didn't have to play 40 minutes a game. Maybe the fact that he backed up Ray Allen may've made his defense look more impressive too. Don't forget that Redd isn't exactly naturally gifted in terms of athleticism. It takes every ounce of energy in his body to put up 25 a game. He's not like Wade or Kobe where they can fly down the lane over 2 guys to get their points. He's had to work on his game to learn how to get open in games, his athleticism doesn't naturally give it to him.

There's the old debate whether confidence is just a feeling that comes from made baskets (like enthusiasm comes from a hot streak at the slots) - or whether confidence leads to made baskets.

I thought the Warriors in the second half looked at the Bucks and knew they could dominate them.

As long as the opponent can look at the Bucks and see weakness, we're in big trouble. Bogut's recent surge in play isn't enough to cure that. 'Cuz leadership is missing, and toughness is missing. Only a rare and perhaps unattainable trade could change that. Management needs to be much smarter, and convince the team. The coach needs to show more leadership. And we need one or two players who can make 5 guys play together.

That's too much work to support optimism for the short term. And the long term is fogged in.

I don't recall Redd being a good defender in his second season. I recall that he would enter the game and shoot lights out from 3-point range, that he and Tim Thomas were instant offense off the bench. But he did not spend too much time on the court and before long he was back on the bench and the Big 3 were finishing the game.

That team's defense was provided by Ervin Johnson, Darvin Ham, Anthony Mason and Mark Pope. I never saw saw Redd as a defensive player, especially compared to the player that he replaced - Lindsey Hunter.

I'm not saying that he was not a defender, just that I don't recall him playing that role ever.
