The Bulls get a guard who could play both positions and possibly replace Ben Gordon should he be gone. When you like at Mihm, assuming everyone is healthy, he doesn't crack the top 12 lineup: Fisher, Farmar, Crittenton, Sasha, Kobe, Ariza, Walton, Odom, Turiaf, Radmonivic, Bynum, Brown. So the Bulls (who were trying to sign him over the off season before settling for Smtih) get a big to replace Thomas. The Lakers take Thomas, who is a reasonably priced big for the next two years, to replace Turiaf on the bench as an energy big and allows Turiaf to start, and move Odom to the more natural SF position when they play big teams like San Antonio, Dallas or even New Orleans.

The Bulls would then cut either James OnCurry or Demetrius Nichols to get down to 15 roster guys.
