Toronto - Philly

Post#1 » by omeloon » Mon Jan 21, 2008 2:35 am

I'm sure similar trades have already been beaten to death, but oh well...

Dalembert (4 years left) for Rasho (2 years left), Humphries, and Toronto's 2008 1st round pick (top 7 protected).
** they can also have Joey Graham for any one of their scrubs, if they like.

Toronto needs someone to anchor their defense, and Philly apparently wants to get out of Dalembert's big contract. I doubt they'll get anything more promising than Kris Humphries and a 2008 pick in the 15-20 range.

Dalembert, Bargnani
Bosh, (Bargnani), Maceo
Moon, Kapono, Graham
Parker, Delfino
Calderon, Ford

This should help the Raps become a pretty solid defensive team. Bargnani meanwhile gets to focus a bit more on his offense.

please post the article where it says we want to get out of Daly contract?? In the past, he may have been perceived as overpaid, but certainly not this year and going forward.

Lol, I don't blame them. I don't believe the fact that Dalembert is available, but I'm just making the proposal based on the rumors that he is.

IMO, Philly will not find themselves a better center than Dalembert... so unless they can get a really solid, young starter and then draft a center in the top 10, I see no point in trading Dalembert.

There have been tons. Unless Philly's GM is just stupid, I don't believe the rumors either. For some reason a lot of sources seem convinced they want to get rid of him though. For Philly's sake, I hope not. If so, I sure hope Bryan jumps on the chance like I suggested!!!

Are you a Raptors fan? I assume that you are not seeing that much of their games anyways... Graham is with the Pacers FYI.

BTW Phili declines... Dalembert is actually playing solid for them...

Raptors fans want "canada's adopted son" on the Raptors, but it will take A LOT more to get him. Here is a transcript of a conversation between Colandgeo and Stefanski:

Toronto: So, we are wondering about Dalembert, he available?
Philly: I would say so, but we will be to take back Calderon and/or Bosh.
Toronto: Well, glad to here you replaced Billy King, bet he would have taken Rasho and #1. But no to Bosh, no to Calderon, so we will go somewhere else.
Philly: O.k, by the way, Andrea, he available?
Toronto: Only for Sammy.

Most would be shocked to see Sammy moved this year...the Bulls may have enough talent if they are willing to unload some of their young talent and cap space, but even they would not give the Sixers a solid C in return.

You're thinking of Stephen Graham, Joey's twin brother.

You're on to something her. Chicago would have to include Noah in this deal.

Are you even a NBA fan?... I assume that you are not seeing that you don't even know that there are 2 Graham's that are twins in the NBA.

one on the Pacers and one on the Raptors FYI.

it's amusing to see how some posters think they are so smart but own themselves in the process
