Calderon to DEN for Atkins and Wafer

reason DEN does it gets a young PG capable of running a team

TOR because they don't have to split playing time between two very talented PG and theyget a young shooting specialist

TOR won't be trading Calderon as long as TJ's future is up in the air, but this is terrible value regardless.

I like it for Toronto, because there will be no question of who is the better PG anymore. But they would probably be better of trading Calderon for Snow just to make sure.

thats the worst value for Calderon or any other player I have seen in a long time.

Chucky Atkins, who is out for 2 months, and Von Wafer, the guy they would have waived instead of Bobby Jones had his contract not been guaranteed.

That is probably the worst trade I have ever seen!

In that case, Raptors counter with

TJ Ford for Carmelo Anthony

Reason, nuggets have a talented SF in Kleiza as well, this trade allows the nuggets to give Kleiza starting minutes, while Raptors get a scoring SF.

My trade above probably isn't as bad as the original poster. At least I offered a player with value.

Wafer and Atkins? I'm better off going to the d-league.

A more apt comparison would be "We'll trade you Kris Humphries for Carmelo Anthony - no real reason other than to make our team worse."

Wow this is down right horrid for the Raptors we trade one of the best PG's in the league a guy who can put 10-10 on any given night for a over the hill Atkins and Von Wafer. Yeah thats really going to happen :rolleyes:

Ok, I realixe that its horrible but there have been rumours of Denver trieng to acquire Calderon maybe we could make it a bigger trade w/ Camby or Martin. Or wecolud try to acquire Ford

Toronto wouldn't want Martin you can count on that. He's a horrid contract and has serious injury problems. Like I said Camby, Iverson and Melo are the only players Toronto wants from Denver.
