10 missed 3s to SAS' 8 w/ 8 makes is the difference. Going to need clutch shooting to have a chance over the last 6.

No reason to go to Okafor, he hasn't been playing well or anything...

I regret today's sub pattern, final score isn't going to show how close it was.

That Ginobilli "jump ball" changed the pace of the game. 2 techs on consecutive defensive series, Wallace had something to prove b/c he was pissed... played right into the spurs plan.

On the bright side, not winning means we won't get called "lowly" in the game write ups...

Gerald has a day-to-day left calf injury, great.

Well, went pretty much like expected... Spurs did what they do, and dictated the tempo. Especially with that defense. Better than I thought, though, as I thought it'd be more competitive. Not in the way of the score, because that was there, but in the way of tempo. Never quite got into stretches of rhythm or a sustained one.

Emeka played quite well, and against a great player in Duncan. As he's tended to, but definitely think he should of been went to more than he was. Impressive game from him.

Gerald and J-Rich both had tough games, J-Rich moreso. They were made into long-range jumpshooters basically, and that's not good. Especially with how they've been playing of recent. Liked the continued effort Gerald displayed, before he went out of the game for good.

two things i noticed today between mek and felton...

play one - mek sets a screen for felton, felton breaks to the basket and looks back at mek, who for some reason decided to pause for about two seconds before rolling to the basket. felton looks at okafor ready to throw the pass and realizes okafor is 3 steps behind caused felton to wait on okafor. once okafor gets to the right spot felton throws the pass which is stolen. one mistake by okafor compounded by another mistake by felton. felton should have gone a different direction after okafor missed his window.

play two - a few minutes later, felton is looking for a pick from okafor but okafor keeps dancing around and sets like 3 or 4 screens but never holds any of them longer than a half second. felton finally gives up waiting and looks elsewhere. felton runs back down the court in and is obviously upset.

later in the game after picks by mek, i noticed felton go to the wing on a few plays rather than trying to hit mek rolling to the basket.

the chemistry those two had last year running the pick and roll is not there. both guys are thinking rather than reacting.

felton did hit mek on a beautiful wrap-around early in the game.
