That shot migh even wake Souvlaki from his slumber. Rowell will certainly be around to crow about it.

But I have to agree, under what circumstance do you not take Marco Jaric off the dribble down 1? Even if you settle for midrange, you still get closer because you can.

Harrington should've tipped that in.

I blame

1) the fans chanting MVP
2) Missed Ft's
3) LF for going to the game

I haven't seen the game yet (at work now), but for those criticizing "going small", I note that:

1) Beans fouled out
2) rebounding was just about exactly even
3) Minny offensive rebounds were limited to 7
4) We blocked more shots than they did
5) Going larger means more time for POB or Kosta in a close game

So was "going small" really the problem? Were the alternatives really better?

Hopefully this game will get Minn less ping pong balls for the draft and they fall to the 5th pick or something.

Absolutely... the swarming defense smallball is supposed to create never happened. The uptempo offense, never happened. All we really needed was to just force them to the perimeter consistently to win this... that, or we could not play our D-leaguers in key situations, as Buke and CJ were awfully late on a lot of rotations... the usual suspects all were. Jax is playing defense like his offense... so much went wrong this game.

But we stayed the course... payed the price. Eventually if we keep playing down to these kind of crappy teams we're going to be embarassed.

Jefferson abused Harrington in the second half. POB played well in the time he was in. Going w/ Monta, CJ, Baron meant Baron on Gomes which they took advantage of more than once.

Beans was getting beat by Jefferson. Fronting Gomes/Jefferson with Al was a bad idea, and having Baron on Gomes was a bad idea. So yes, going too small on defense was the problem. Jefferson/Gomes combined for 56/22. I'd say that was a problem.
