Would you trade Deng/Thomas for Aldridge/Outlaw or Webster?

I think that this type of deal would make a great deal of sense for both teams.. Deng would be great for the blazers and Thomas would be a freak next to Oden.. And Webster or outlaw give the bulls the big guard they really have wanted for the last year..Also Aldridge would fit the back to the basket scorer they have wanted.. It also gives the team more flexibility and more of an identity.. I have a thing on the trade board, and i am wondering your thoughts?

Yeah, but no way Portland does. They believe they are Greg Oden away from contending and are probably right. And Bulls fans, why would you not do that deal?

Whats the point, when its never going to happen.

Why would Portland trade their best big man and their best bench player for an inconsistent small forward and a power forward who is years away from reaching his potential. Portland would be stupid to even consider it..
Why so serious?

Deng and Thomas for Aldridge and Outlaw? Ofcourse. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me lol. Aldrige was the guy we needed but delt away. Also Outlaw is improving his all around game, i used to call him Darius Miles but boy has he shut me up. The problem with some of us bulls fans is that we get attached to our guys and want to get talent for nothing. I would do this deal in a heart beat.

Blazers wouldn't do it... plus Aldridge compliments Oden perfectly. Oden is going to spend the vast majority of his time in the paint.

Viktor is actually a nice hustle player but he just does not fit well on our team as we have other players that do what he does already.

okay, ill be serious this time. tyrissius is better for our team. we have defensive stalwarts in noah/wallace and we need an explosive get to the rim player to complement them.

portland is waiting for oden because LA doesnt bang down low.
his height is nice, but he doesnt rebound unless its off of his own miss. and i'm surprised to see that he shoots 50% because it seems like he takes difficult ((Please Use More Appropriate Word)) shots.

Seriously? He takes good shots, either open shots because the PF guarding him doesn't want to step out-- or he can just turn around and shoot over anyone ala Sheed.

No. Let's say that Deng and Aldridge are of equal value. I'm sure Portland fans will disagree but they put up similar stats and Deng is actually younger.

Then the question becomes should we trade Tyrus for Outlaw or Webster. Well, I'm in that camp that believes that Tyrus would produce if given the minutes (like he did last year), so no.

There's is absolutley no chance Portland does this, they wouldn't want to mess with a good thing they've got going now.

I am shocked that some of us are saying "PORTLAND WONT DO THIS".

I am wondering why we would do this???

Deng and Thomas for Aldridge and bench guy???. Hell to the NO.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but Thomas is a "bench guy" too.

This is pretty much my analysis exactly. You'd have to consider Tyrus for Outlaw since Outlaw is having a big season and is still just 23, but I'm so high on Tyrus that I'd probably pass. It doesn't shock me though that some Bulls fans would do this deal ten times over though because (probably like most sports fans) I've noticed that some posters on this board can have short term memories that would lead them to forget things like the fact Deng is one of the better young players in the league and perhaps overvalue someone like Outlaw who's only halfway through his possible breakout season.

I see why Chicago would want to do this.

Deng is a really good player, but he isn't a lot better than either Outlaw or Webster. Outlaw is more clutch, plays better defense, and rebounds better (projected). Webster is a very good 3pt shooter, rebounder, and hustle guy. Having said all of that, Deng is the better of the three

As for Thomas and Aldridge....yuck. Sorry, but as mentioned earlier Aldridge might be THE perfect match for a player like Oden. He is also the single hardest working player on one of if not the hardest working team in the NBA. Aldridge has the desire to be a great player right now. His game is so inconsistant because he is being asked to bang inside more than he will have to.

Because of chemistry, I'm not sure Kevin Pritchard would trade Outlaw for Deng straight up. Webster however would be a no brainer. Portland right now is all about chemistry, culture, and cap space for 2009. The entire roster has been put together with the thought of having enough cap space to make a run at a player like D. Williams or C. Paul.

It appears you're right. My mistake, I thought it was the other way around.

They are the same age when the season starts and ends so in my book that makes them the same age.
