Is there a more boring commentator than Dick Stockton?

Post#1 » by sudansensation » Mon Jan 21, 2008 11:29 pm

Is anyone else watching this game on TNT? This is the most boring broadcast. Dick Stockton doesnt know what he is talking about and has no energy. Mike Fratello knows what he is talking about but is putting me to sleep. Anyone else agree?

Seriously. I have been watching for about ten minutes and Dick has gotten three or four things wrong already. And he has put me into a coma.

I think next time I can't fall asleep I'll skip the Nyquil and just watch Dick Stockton announce a game.

He usually doesn't call games but TNT's been forced to dust him off today since they're televising 3 games. Either way, the guy is very old. His best days are well behind him. I say just ignore the guy.

Man I love him. Him and Hubie Brown used to be the **** back in 1998.

He is better announcing NFL games.

Stockton should've been put out to pasture in 1990 after CBS lost the NBA to NBC. He's spent the past 2 decades living off his name.

The Czar is also mumbling and low talking A LOT today.. I don't know what it is, I haven't really noticed this too much before. It almost sounds like his mic is turned down.

I thought that was just me, I could not understand much of what Fratello was saying.

Game two though, fear not. Let's count the number of times Collins says "Kevin". It's at 43 and counting, first quarter only. Kevin.

At one point, Hakim warrick took a half court shot, and he called him Sefalosha. Priceless Stockton.

Stockton did a bad job today and he is clearly not a good basketball announcer. He is boring for the NFL and the NFL moves slower than the NBA, so you could see that him doing an NBA game would be a bad idea. I loved when he said Hinrich hit the 3, even though Kirk was on the bench. Haha. Sudan you are right sir.

Speaking of Joe Buck, I had to bring this up.

Time for some Dick Stockton love around here. For those who don't remember the man at his peak. A great call to one of the most forgotten incredible moments in NBA history. http://youtube.com/watch?v=l97uj9Uvnvo&feature=related
