Reds call up Short Stop to replace Keppinger.

This is Janish's first promotion to the Major Leagues. In 35 games for Louisville, the 25-year-old batted .293 with four home runs and 20 RBIs. The 2004 fifth-round Draft pick was also on a seven-game hitting streak.

Janish was 1-for-2 in Tuesday's game vs. Scranton when he was lifted for a pinch-hitter and informed he was going to the big leagues in the wake of Keppinger's injury.

The Reds have assigned Janish to wear No. 7.

Arroyo pitches a shutout and leaves after 7 innings, Lincoln gives up 4 runs in the 9th to make it 6-4, Cordero comes in with the lead and blows the save opportunity giving up 2 more runs to tie things up. Bottom of the 10th the guy we just called up (P. Janish) gets his first big league hit and Rbi for the win in the bottom of the 10th. Reds win 7-6 and lead in the series 3 games to 0 with the final game tomorrow.

It is a shame that Arroyo didn't get the win after such a strong performance, but I am glad to see that he has things going again.
