Thats it. Those standards might be very high - they are very high - but they are what they are. I'm not going to support trading an elitely athletic power forward who has flashed dominance for something less than the foregoing. Not until this team gives him a real chance to develop.

If he's given his chances - fair chances - and he doesn't produce, tanks out, and has no trade value, then so be it. I'm willing to take that risk if the only short term benefit to trading him now is Corey Maggette (not a knock on Maggs).

This post is wise.

Maggette is an above average talent and would be the best player on the Bulls (slightly ahead of Deng). BUT, deal does not help us. A swap of BG and TT for Maggette and their #1 i do. This I don't.

Tuesday morning and I'm back on the Maggette bandwagon again. We need someone with some offensive capabilities. Ideally, we get a big, play-making, high-scoring PG to go with Gordon and Thabo (I'm for dumping Hinrich), but unless we net a star in the draft, no one is going to trade us that.

So, ride out the season. See who we get in the lottery. Trade Hinrich for Maggette (with a re-sign agreement). Go to war with a backcourt of Gordon, Maggette and Thabo. At least we'll score some points.

Save TT for a better big man trade.

I think the thought of getting rid of Gordon for Maggette is so backward.

The problem with the Bulls is a lack of offense. So swapping one offensive player for another does nothing for the team.

So you need to add offense WITH Gordon to balance the team out. Its been proven to leave all the offense with one guy on this team doesnt work.

If you look around the league, all the teams that dont have a major low post pressence, have a ton of guys that are explosive.

Just look at the Wizards. They have about 3 elite level scorers on their team (Arenas,Butler,Jamison) and about 3 more very capable scorers that can go off for 20 on any given night.

Bulls have one elite level scorer(Gordon) and 2 good/capable scorers in Deng and Noce. Thats it. You only have a midlevel scorer who can get you 10-15 and then it falls off the map. This is why we struggle.
