Big ups to Sasha last night. He is not even close to being our best defender, but last night when it was turning into a shootout, there was alot of gambling for steals on the perimeter.(Kobe,Farmar) I really liked the way Saha stood in front of his man and used his quick hands to annoy. Now Kobe,of course is a way better defender, but I thought Sasha played the best man D last night.

I'll tell you one thing, Sasha is damn good at drawing fouls while shooting 3's. I've seen it happen way too many times for it to be accidental, he has really mastered the Reggie Miller kick-out ;p

Sasha's career has been remarkable in a very strange way.

With decreasing minutes, his production and efficiency has increased.

He's making the most out of sparse playing time, and that's unique in this league.

He plays hard and he's improving his game. Sounds like a keeper to me.

4-7 11 points, 7 rebounds for sasha tonight against the spurs. he was a huge spark off the bench in what was looking to be a good game. if the lakers had sasha in for the 3rd, they probably extend the 9 point lead to 27.

I really like Sasha this year. This team needs some scoring mentalities and Sasha continues to have his breakout year. Finally.

Sasha has gone from Eurotrash joke to Kobe's robin, on both ends of the floor.

Considering he has zero athleticism, no finishing ability, and a girl's hairband, that's really remarkable.

how sasha got here is a credit to phil and kobe. for all those times that people complained about all the pt sasha got and all those times that sasha shot brick after brick, its finally paying off. kobe always supported sasha, routinely going over to him making sure he never hesistated to shoot the next time it came to him.

One thing that Sasha had even when he was a bench warmer/sucky rotation player was faith and confidence in himself. He's often said that its his courage that made him make a move from Slovenia to Italy with his family at a time when he had zero belief of making it to the NBA or let alone speak Italian.

He's never afraid to take the 11th shot even after he's missed 10 and thats character. He's not blessed with some of the physical skills and probably the basketball conditioning that most teenagers in US receive but he tries to maximize his efforts and bring about a positive result. As a Laker fan, you've got to love him for that.

^Word. Phil has shown confidence in the eyebrow stroker.

Re: Kobe, I think their relationship is 'outed' after Sasha dry-humped Kobe in the 4th quarter.

That was just inappropriate. Chest bump, alright. Man-hug, sure.

But wrapping his arms around Kobe and resting his head on Kobe's shoulder on national television is crossing the line, IMHO.
