good point. And the paparazzi is getting bigger and more extreme. The growth is caused by the glorification of pap companies like TMZ and their competitors.

Not only that, but even little things like camera phones and Youtube are completely changing privacy issues. I mean for people like us it's kinda neat to see things like the Kobe video or whatever, but from the celeb's end it must be total hell.

The curse of Terry Gilliam strikes again, I guess.

Poor Heath- obviously was not in a very good mental state.

Yeah, and message boards sharing private facts and rumors about pro athletes.
We want our players to perform up to their abilities, so we aggressively over exaggerate their flaws, like Ben Wallace being a "mope". I am to blame for that. Disappointment over favorite players performances leads you to say some pretty insane statements, when in fact the respect for these people is greater than most.

im very saddened by this

im obviously a huge Chris / Jonathon Nolan fan and am so excited for TDK. This definitly brings un-needed pub to it.

I feel bad for Michelle Williams here. Baby has no father now and she is without hope. Naomi Watts must be shattered as well.

This is a real shame. He was on the short list for great young talent in acting in an otherwise shallow field (my opinion).

Tragedy is never on time.

In a way, this reminds me of River Phoenix's death. He was being touted as the best actor of his generation before he died of a drug overdose -- and a lto of people were shocked because there had been no public indication that he was into that stuff -- although I guess those in his circle were far more aware of it.

RIP.

I read someone's opinion about the matter, but they are saying that indirectly at least, the character of the Joker haunted him so much that it led to this.

He gave an interview a short while ago to the NYT where he was asked about his experienced playing the character, this is what was said:

It is a physically and mentally draining role

If he was spot on as joker as people are saying - he will be very similar to River Phoenix as someone looked as something of a legend, what might have been kind of thing.

I agree whole heartedly about him being top five of young actors as well.

I also agree with this papparazzi crap. I turned on TMZ for 2 seconds and and turned it off immediately. Its basically a show opposite of access hollywood or extra - its a show for jealous and negative people.

Very sad news. Was in some decent flicks like A Knights Tale, Monsters Ball, The Patriot, etc. I saw Brokeback Mountain and considering he is an Australian native, I thought he was brilliant in the film. The upcoming The Dark Knight where he plays the Joker looks equally brilliant and perhaps his finest acting performance yet. Simply will be missed.

When I heard he had a young daughter my opinion of the situation changed a bit. Sad to see him go regardless.

Ambien is a seriously **** up drug. My doctor wanted to prescribe it to me for insomnia, but after trying it once I refused. It made me feel like an alien.

I suffer from insomnia too and I take the same sleeping pills Heath used to take. They really do mess you up bad.

That was about the first comment out of my wife's mouth when she saw last night he had died.

This is about the 5th Heath Ledger thread that I've posted in so I wont go into too much of a rant. All I will say that famous or not, he was a 28 year old person who was taken well before their time. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
