Bulls are in serious trade talk. Blazers too.

Post#1 » by DASMACKDOWN » Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:56 am

[EDITED NOTE]
Ric Bucher said on ESPN NEWS that the Bulls were in serious trade talk. Something may happen at the deadline or in the offseason. He didnt mention the players but he said that basically everyone on the Bulls was available.

Portland was also busy in the trade market and trying to unload some of its longer contracts.

EDIT: Sorry for the confusion for the initial post. Under further investigation Ric Bucher's statements were interpreted that the Bulls are in serious trade talks...as well as the Blazers are in serious talks. Meaning they were the most active teams in trade talks. Not necessarily with each other.

Sorry again for any confusion.

Decent. Turn Portland into a Dynasty.

Seriously, I don't know what the teams could find in common outside a minor deal. I could see us trading Kirk or Ben to them, but whomever we would want would not be available.

The only long contracts on that team are Miles, and Przbyilla.

Miles, Przbyilla for Wallace?

Darius Miles for Ben Wallace maybe? That still wouldnt make much sense for us unless Miles is a SG and he isnt.

Did you just say Portland was trying to trade crap and the Bulls were willing to trade anyone for it?

IMO, its Gordon.

I cant imagine who they possibly could be talking about but like I said, take it for what its worth.

Long contracts huh?

Raef has this years and next.

Darius has 2 more years.

Pryz has 3 more years.

Everyone else is on rookie deals.

Done, as long as we cut/buy out Miles ASAP.

this doesn't make sense. i mean, in order for the Bulls to be willing to take back long contracts, it would have to be in combination with a player teh Bulls really covet. but besides Roy and Aldridge, who would that be? i can only think of Channing Frye ... that doesn't get me too excited though ...

If we trade Gordon to the Blazers, the rest of the NBA will HATE us. Because Portland Dynasty mode would kick into effect early next season.

Gordon on that team should be illegal, especially next year.

what's the point of that? even if we buyout Miles, he still stays on the books for the duration of his contract. i'd rather just keep Wallace.

I'd rather Wallace was gone to free up the front court for Noah and to a lesser extent TT.

if i'm Pax, the only way i trade Gordon is if i get Roy or Aldridge in return. now unless i've missed somethin the past few months, i don't understand why Portland would trade either one of those two.

I don't mind Paxson trading Gordon, but only for the right person. Who would we want from Portland that we can reasonably get? We're not getting Roy or Oden or Aldridge, so we can forget that. I agree. Give Gordon or Deng to Portland, and that team is dynasty. Gordon and Deng don't have to create shots.....just leave that to Roy. They can just wait and shoot open jump shots all day.

Yeah. I pretty much want Wallace gone at all costs. I'm willing to buy him out. Plus, I think Pryzbilla will definitely contribute more than Wallace over the next three seasons.
