OT - Heath Ledger died

Post#1 » by cfan79 » Wed Jan 23, 2008 12:30 am

I just found out that Heath Ledger died. I couldn't believe it when my brother told me. He's in the newest Batman movie and was supposed to be in the trial of the Joker also.

It might be from a drug overdose.

Its sad seeing such good young actors waste their lives with drugs. Brad Renfro died a few days ago now Heath. Ledger was my age, only 28 yrs old.

While sad, it is no less tragic than my buddy passing away last week at 35. I have a hard time with all the coverage "stars" get when they pass away and like I said, while sad, there are many more that die much more tragically than they do and for no reason. Like the woman here in NH who walked her niece and nephew into oncoming traffic on 495. That is tragic. It sounds like one of two scenarios so far for Heath, suicide or accidental drug overdose.

I just got done reading the sticky on the Pacer board about PacerFan and his passing. I agree with you canman, and while it is sad, it's also sad that such a passing gets more attention than that of someone who had no say in when there time to go was. No death should be taken lightly though. Very sad what has happened to Heath Ledger.

Maybe it is just me but I don't feel bad for someone who has the world by the balls and just pisses it away for no good reason. And you're right canman1971 what happened to those poor children is tragic. This is not.

The reason I won't say that is because at this time that's just speculation.

He died of an overdose of over the counter sleeping pills, you guys are almost making him seem like a bad guy.
I despise fans that cheer on a team from up north or one that resembles a dinosaur. oh wait...

Man, I really liked Heath Ledger. He was just about to become a big-time actor with his last few roles and his upcoming in Batman.

RIP Heath Ledger

-I'm glad the mods here didn't lock this up like the Raps mods did, just because it wasn't basketball related.

Sorry I got that from early rumors. He wasn't a druggie loser like Renfro, River Phoenix etc. But he did kill himself so he wasn't exactly a hero.
