It's times like these were I wish the NBA had demotion/promotion like European Soccer. I would love to see the Heat in the D-League since Wade clearly needs to develop. :lol:

TMAC had it far worse, this is just pitiful from the heat. Sure, most of these guys are old and washed up, but how can you lose 14 in a row with shaq in the lineup? Proving much more how undeserved that 05 championship was, they should still be thanking the refs for handing them the title.

Can Wade start going off for 40-50 points to secure a win? If ball hogging is what it takes. He should do it if he can. I think Tmac is more skilled but I wouls take Wade in the fourth 10/10 times. Mac just slowly fades away in the crunch.

OK I have read through most of this thread and I would like to add my 2 cents

Wade/Heat are SIMILAR to the TMAC?Magic in that Wade is putting up great stats on a bad team, but in terms of who has achieved more it is undisputably Dwyane Wade... Wade deserves the most credit for the 06 championship no matter how much of a "presence" Shaq demands on the court... the man averaged 35 and 8

On the other hand I think TMAC gets a lot of unfair criticism as well... His supporting cast simply is not very good, in a stacked West... couple that with the fact that he and Yao have both had various injuries the past couple years and being put against Dallas/Utah in the first round that is pretty tough

As for right now, its not really his fault that he has a god awful roster, its actually also similar to the Lakers in 2005 that were banged up and lost their coach.... Next year Wade will be more ready to carry his team from start to finish and will know what to expect, No one expected Shaq to decline this much this fast and I think Wade thought he was going to have a bit more help.... More blame should fall on Shaq's shoulders than anyone elses... if he could stay on the court then things wouldnt be as bad as they are now

I know it's not Kobe's or McGradys fault that they have had crappy support and they could lead a team just like Wade did to the finals if they had Shaq, Zo, Walker, Payton, Posey etc etc.

Yup. But still, Kobe and Wade are PROVEN champions on a good team. McGrady hasn't proved it yet. I think prime Tmac could of, but we'll never know.

lol @ those players u mentioned...every single one of those players including shaq are role players ...and some are mediocore for their positiion specifically walker and payton ... mentioning a 38 year old payton who put up like 5 ppg? ur proving everyones point ...and for tmac ? he cant even past the first round with yao and a shane battier a proven defender that team arguably had better role players then what wade had in 2006 ... if wade had so much talent in 2006 then he wouldnt have needed to go off dropping 40 ppg while the 2nd leading scorer was no other then walker with 13 ppg .... that 40-13 ppg ratio is bigger then the ratio with kobe and his teamates in 05-06

Miami still had a very good team in 05-06. They were one of the best defensive teams in the league, and they contained Dirk extremely well.

Yes, Wade put up a 'historic' performance in the Finals and playoffs, but he did not do it alone. He had a very good team, and NO player without a good team can win a championship all by himself. Of all the players on that team, did he deserve most of the credit? Yes, and that's obvious to anyone who watched. But he did not do it alone, or with a bad/mediocre team.

lets see the lineup was

pg-jwill
sg-wade
sf-walker
pf-haslem
c-shaq

neither jwill or walker were top 15 at their positions and at best ppl would put them at top 15
haslem i consider was top 15 pf maybe even top 12
shaq a top 5 center altho declining fast

so wade's starting lineup was this ...an above average center on the decline, a mediocore pg and sf who both even at their best were avg for their positons and an average pf who possible could be above avg at times ... his bench was posey,payton,zo,anderson which i consider a good bench but not spectacular ..all in all this wasnt exactly a dream team sorrounding him but somehow he managed to step his game up and win them the title

^Players like Horry, Cassel, Kerr, Barry, Haslem, and other role players alike, aren't necessarily TOP 5/10 players at their positions, but they don't need to be. They are on their respective teams to FIT ROLES, and that's exactly what they do for their respective teams.

You need players as such to win the title. You can have you 1-2 superstars, but w/o ROLE PLAYERS, you aren't going to win titles.

See: Rockets, Bulls, Lakers, Spurs, Pistons, Heat; I can keep going....

He's a lot bigger than he was as a rookie. Every year he has gotten bigger it seems. More likely hanging out with Chuck too much, he caught the fat head bug.
