Scott Williams ... is he?

Post#1 » by yuedar » Wed Jan 23, 2008 4:19 am

So tonight listening to Scott Williams for the first time made me really want to watch this game with the mute on.
I didn't mind him in small doses with the tride and true Glock and Pashcke but wow tonight was something else. Some of the lines were so random and hyper I wonder if he has some form of ADD?
Liked him as a buck but a bad announcer.
I know we havent had many announcers in recent memory but is he one of the worst announcers we have had lately?

Scott Williams is great.

Anyone catch tonight when right before Eddie Johnson and Scott Williams switched teams for a qtr Scott said ''another bad trade for the Bucks''.

Then right after he said that there was an akward few seconds of sillence and then about 1 minute later Scott apologized and said ''I didn't mean anything by that''.

Scott is the man.

Scott is refreshing. He tells you the truth. And he does it with some enthusiasm. He's a good fill-in for Jonny Mac. I would not mind him taking over for Jonny Mac or the Bucks having a permanent 3-man TV booth for the games.

Scott Williams tonight when Bogut scored on Nash in the post "Andrew said I got a mouse in the house here, I know he's an MVP but I'm gonna use him like a dirty rag"

Gold.

He's fine in very small doses. If he ever becomes the full time color man I will turn the sound down on every game.

I think he's negotiating a special night for himself a la Sidney Moncrief with Herb Kohl in Washington DC right now. Jonny Mac seems to like himself as a player quite a bit more than anyone else.

I still say hes got some of the more corny lines ive heard in awhile

How about the one with grant hill and nash. Something like... they just sub'd out a multitime all-star for a 2 time mvp is that even fair?!

I loved the part where he continually rambled on during the cut to the commercial break and it ended up cutting him out in the middle of his sentence. Rarely see that done to professionals.

Or how he's constantly talking/eating the mic at the same time.

Classic.

three different players were "cooking up a great basketball game" or something like that ( i may have butchered it). he annoyed the hell out of me, but maybe he was just nervous. it seemed to me like he just kept saying whatever came to his mind, and he never shut up. i agree with md, if he continues, the sound goes off.

sorry....it was a huge mistake for us to get rid of him in the first place......The Anthony Mason thing never turned out any way.

He's a great addition and tells things like it is. One of the positives for watching these Bucks games.

I love Scott Williams calling games and hope he's a permanent member of the team. I love his enthusiasm. I'll agree he seems to have some jitters but he'll be fine.

My favorite part of the game last night was when he said something like "there pouring beer on me here.....". For the next couple of minutes I tried to figure out if he was serious or not....if they someone did spill beer on him he sure handled it well.

I wish I could have listened to the Phoenix broadcast to see if he indeed was promoting his businesses on the air. If he was that's awesome. Then he said he forgot to mention Johnny Mac, I wonder who he all sent shout outs to?

I see he has carried his nut hugging over from the cavs job. I saw your game last night. He seriously sounded like he wanted to perform fellatio on Bogut. I remember him doing the same for Varejo last year.
why was hakeem called "the dream"??"

Because it rhymes with 'Olajuwon'.

remember Canadians are just Mexicans with sweaters

It was definitely a change of pace, but I would rather not have an announcer who sounds like he has a hard on the entire game.

Now I don't feel so strange about my hard-ons making a sound. My hard-on sounds like a Light Saber being wielded. A big, black Light Saber.
