Anyone want to fill me in on how Williams has been playing/progressing, I haven't really seen too much of him?

I bet he'll be a sweetner in a bigger deal.

Why do you think they have given up on him? J. Kidd is the best, but don't they need to be grooming someone to replace him?

I've heard they've been disappointed in Williams because he doesn't stay in good enough shape to stay healthy. And they don't think he's getting injured from playing hurt -- they don't think think he's working hard enough to get in shape to begin with.

All I know is....I don't think I've seen Rod Thorn get the bad end of a trade so if he wants to trade with you, you can pretty much guarantee you're getting the short end of the stick. He gave up Marbury for Kidd. He traded a Mourning who wouldn't play and a draft pick for Vince.

I haven't seen much of his play but I remember when he was drafted I thought he was going to be avery special player and he definately might be as it is hard to be an NBA PG plus his lack of playing time doesn't help

I'm with you Thief if we could somehow get him but I think they will use him as a sweetner on a bigger trade

Carlos Arroyo has all the tools to be a good NBA point guard.

I do think that the Nets -- and the Pacers -- are looking to make deals if they like the deals they get. If the Nets trade Vince, though, that would be unbelievable. Then it almost will seem as if they only were interested in re-signing him to keep Orlando from trying to sign him (or to use him as trade bait). I think Miami would make a deal, too, if they could get one they like. But if the Heat make a deal that moves Haslem, they will sit Shaq and Wade for the rest of the season to ensure that they don't get more injured and to give them a chance to heal.

The thing that you worry about if a guy doesn't work hard enough to stay in shape is that it's hard to change a guy's work ethic. Guys with good work ethics can improve their skills. I'm not saying for sure that he doesn't work hard. That just has been the reports out of New Jersey.
