I'll do the trade. Like dacher said, we can always draft another PG.

Big men don't just grow on trees I'm sure Thorn has TRIED to acquire Gasol he has TRIED to acquire O'Neal but the fact of the matter is that teams are reluctant to part with their legitimate big men and the Nets can't give up everything just to acquire one.

Also I'm not sure what Chicago gets out of this other than salary cap relief, unless... They plan on moving Hinrich for who? I don't know but if the Bulls were to acquire a young PG like Williams I think it would signal a significant loss of faith in Hinrich (I mean think about it teams trading for Marcus aren't so much trading for him on the basis of what he can do today, but rather on what he could become next year, or the year after that) and require him to be moved.

sure we have one of the worst offensies in the league, ill take nocioni.

i dont think marcus will be so great, might as well just draft another PG.

Kirk really isnt a PG he really can't run the Offense. The best PG we got is DUHON so maybe thats why the bulls want a real pg. Maybe they going to ship Kirk or Gordon out.

now i know njn fans will complain about taking on wallaces contract but this trade could really push us over the edge. think about our lineup
kidd, carter, nocioni, krstic and wallace
that's a better team imo than the one we have. plus we don't have to give up either of the williams boys

why not? if we're getting nocioni then what's the point in having RJ? plus the duo of RJ and Carter CLEARLY isn't working and with RJ gone then Carter can settle back into his role of the first option which we are a better team when he is.

Duhon isnt really that neccessary, Armstrong is more than enough.
Anyway I'd check our chances with Gasol before clicking the on switch on this trade I really dont see Memphis refusing the Williams duo+2 expirings+a 1st/2nd for Gaso.[/q

I'm not giving up Sean and Marcus and Memphis has no need for either one and it's been stated numerous times that the Grizz are not interested in anything the Nets have

For the first one you basically just add in Jefferson for Ben Wallace to the original trade. That is a terrible move. The Bulls would almost be willing to give away Wallace when you take his contract and age into account. Getting a decent sf in Nocioni doesnt mean you just throw out your near all star caliber starter.

I actually like the 1st trade. We keep Boone, S and M Williams. We can contend and also build for the future.

B.Wallace/ Sean
Krstic/ Boone/ Allen
Nocioni/ Boki
Carter/ Thabo
Kidd/ Marcus/ Armstrong

Ben Wallace > Collins. Ben can teach our young bigs the rebounding and defense. Krstic had a protector in Wallace. Importantly the offense revolves around Carter now. And Nocioni can hit the open 3.

Got my mind working the trade checker for another move, if this one were to happen.

NJ Trades:
RJ/Allen/Boone/Armstrong

TOR Trades: Bosh/Graham/Garbajosa

TOR saves $20M roughly doing this deal. They get insurance with Armstrong to backup Calderon. Colangelo is actively searching for PG help. Allen and Armstrong are both expiring deals. They get a young big in Boone who would shine in their system, in my opinion. We rid ourselves of RJ but RJ provides something TOR needs. They lose their franchise in Bosh -- but is he really worth the extra $20M? At first glance, probably...but who knows. Saving that money they could attract a top-tier FA or have flexibility to make draft day moves.

Our new team:

Starters: Kidd/VC/Nocioni/Bosh/Krstic

Bench: Duhon/Sefolosha/Graham/J. Smith/Sean Williams

I can dream can't I? :)

Marcus Williams, In my opinion won't be good in the future. I don't think he is talented enough to be a pretty descent point guard. He is not quick or fast at all, he is a very inconsistent shooter, and he is too weak defensively. The reason why people thinks he will be good in the future because he has a high Basketball IQ. However, I don't think he is that smart. I don't think he is that great of a passer. He just moves well in pick and roll situation that is where he gets his assist. So, he won't be a star point guard Maybe an Ok point guard.

I like this trade. We get 2 young and Solid Players For Four role players. However, We still need a PF-C. I say we deal VC, Collins, Kristc and a pick for Miller and Gasol. Then we sign Eddie Gill or Earl Boykins(I would prefer for 2nd-3rd String Guard.

Kidd/Boykins or Gill/Armstrong
Miller/Thabo
RJ/Nocioni
Gasol/Allen
Boone/Williams/Collins

^This trade works but, it might be very, so i made a more realistic trade. The trade would look like RJ and Kristc for Navarro and Gasol. Again, we sign Gill or Boykins. It would look like:

Kidd/Boykins,Gill/Armstrong
VC/Navarro
Nocioni/?
Gasol/Allen
Boone/Williams/Collins

On The Bulls Point of view, From the way it looks like, the bulls are doing this trade because they would need Depth when they make a blockbuster trade for a big and they would probably include Hinrich and Gordon. So this might affect us on getting a big man

I part of me wants this trade to go down because i know it helps the Nets' offensive problems but a part of me doesn't want this trade to go down because Antione, Marcus, and Boki are 3 of my favorite players.
