honestly do u really think the heat will make the playoffs this season say the 8th seed is prob gunna be at .500 give or take a few games that would mean the heat have to double their win total which is 8 to 16 then they would have to double that to get to 32 then they would still be 1 game below .500 and thats if they dont lose a game on that 24 game win streak and zo wont be back this year

wut they should do is wut i said watch wades and shaqs minutes all year and with no playoffs they be fully rested for next year with no injuries and with a top 5 draft pick and a few offseason moves and if zo comes back theirs no reason why they cant be elite again

It appears Maths, nor English, are your friends.

I already made a kid; they could be deemed used goods now.

There is a trade being discussed on the Magic forum right now, Haslem and Smush for two of the expiring deals Magic have as well as JJ. I highly doubt you guys would take on that deal, but then again if you are indeed rebuilding why not get capspace and a guy who MIGHT turn into a good 3point specialist.

I think they would have to send us there 1st round pick and maybe Fran V and we would Include 2 second round picks this year(including there own).

Kinda tempting I think. Although Haslem is the team captain, it would be hard trading the guy for just that. However, if Orlando tossed in their 2008 1st round draft selection then it might be workable. I'm assuming the cap next year will be roughly 58 mill total. Smush and Haslem's deals off the books leaves us at about 42 mill in contracts for Shaq, Wade, Blount, Wright and Cook. Add in another 5 mill for the two 1st round picks and we're hovering in the 47 mill range. Very close to being able to sign a stud free agent to a max contract. Then fill out the roster from there... Arison would have to eat a little bit of tax, but not a huge amount. Here's a dream sample of everything going the right way:

2008-2009 starting 5:

PG Gilbert Arenas
SG Dwyane Wade
SF Dorell Wright
PF Michael Beasley
CC Shaq O'Neal

The bench wouldn't be much at all. Quinn, Cook and Blount would be the main backups with a bunch of scrubs to fill out the rest of the roster. Then in 2009 we've got 28 mill in expiring deals between Shaq and Blount.
