His stock value is at an all-time high, which means we'll be able to get a decent return for whoever we trade him for. If the Nets traded Vince Carter or Jason Kidd, they probably won't be getting an adequate return simply because the team is underperforming, and other teams around the league will demand too much. And here lies my problem: should the Nets simply keep the team they have, maybe add a role player or two and hope that Krstic can return to form? Or do they accept the fact that they'll be receiving less than they're giving and slowly begin the rebuilding process? It's hard to figure that one out. A HEALTHY lineup of:

PG: Kidd
SG: Carter
SF: Jefferson
PF: Sean Williams
C: Nenad Krstic

can easily cause upsets in the playoffs. But they need to discover a level of tenacity that they haven't possessed once yet this year. It's truly mind-boggling.

That team MIGHT cause some upsets, but can it win a title? If not then move on and build towards that goal. Getting young players and draft picks is what needs to be done. You will suck for a couple of years, but sucking for a couple of years netted Portland the deepest roster in the league, and 3 players that have the potential to be perenial all stars in a few years.

I don't mean this as a slap in the face, but you play in the east as well. You could easily be competetive a lot quicker than Portland was.

Jeffferson's a nice player, and still pretty young. I'de keep him, sean Williams, and trade Kidd, and Vince for solid young prospects + Draft picks. Tank the next couple years and get some nice high draft picks and have the youth develop. Then when they should have cap space for a free agent signing in a couple years, talanted young players, Jefferson and be on the upswing when they're ready to move to New York.

First thing you have to do is trade Jason Kidd. You can still get great value for him from a contender. I like the idea of trading him for Devin Harris.

Then you see what you could get for either VC or Jefferson. I think VC is more the kind of guy you'd want to bring in as the headliner when you move to Brooklyn but I have also seen firsthand what he is like when he is called apon to be the leader of a team. I would try and pry Pau Gasol and away from the Grizz with a package of whomever they would prefer of the two and Kristic and Antoine Wright.

The guys I'd try and hold onto are Marcus Williams, Sean Williams, Josh Boone and Bostjan Nachbar.

keep the big 3, trade for an allstar big like joneal or brand and win a championship. i know their cap space will be scrwed for awhile but kidd's getting old fast and if they dont make a move in the next year or two, they'll be stuck mediocre for a long time.

laura frank cant seem to motivate these guys. the talent level is there but they just cant seem to show some fire. they need a new coach and go to a free flow running game where they have the personnel to do it... kidd carter rj, sean, josh boone...
and please no more jason collins...
