Clipps get a young & up'n'coming guard in
Jack & a young and up'n'coming big in Frye.
They also get Miles back tho.. .lol, hmm.. .
Blazers make room for next season
and ending contracts for a free agent.
Last time I checked, Donald Sterling still owns the Clippers, so there's no way he makes this deal and takes on Miles' contract.

Its nearly the same lineup that we use throughout the game and the front court is what we always use in the 4th quarter. Joel only plays 17 minutes!! You think he has that much impact on the game? Hell, Sergio almost plays as much as joel.. Im not saying its a great trade or anything, but I could see us going with that lineup. We almost do now
I think you're under estimating Przybilla. He plays 21 mpg. Replacing those minutes with Frye and LMA would have a major impact on our team. It would totally disrupt our rotations and eliminate the flexibility of having the option to play big or small.
Not to mention what the addition of Cassell would do to our back court situation.
One of the major factors to our turn-around was McMillian finding a role for everyone and developing a consistent rotation. We also finally have a somewhat balanced roster compared to past years. All this trade does is disrupt all that.
Przybilla is also the perfect guy to have backing up Oden. We cant trade Joel unless we get a similar center in return.

Yowza, thanks for the tip TBPup!
I wouldn't do this just for the simple fact alone that no Przybilla = much more difficult wins this year. The Blazers have been great, but without a doubt their most glaring need is certainly rebounding and interior defense. No Joel = 48 minutes of the Toronto game most nights.
Secondly, next year, Portland will see huge benefits being able to tag team Joel and Oden. Between those two that's 48 minutes of guaranteed rebounding, shot blocking an interior presence. That alone I think is worth 4-6 more wins to Portland's current record.

What does that have to do with us getting a lotto pick? We're going to have to trade some young talent for picks to make room on the roster, so our pick and a couple players for a higher pick and another player is very likely. The better our starting pick, the higher the lotto pick we'll likely get.

that has to be a record for the number of times the word pick(s) was used in 3 consecutive sentences.

keep pryz, he is the perfect backup for oden next year and he seems to be somewhat of a fan favorite, atleast i have been a huge fan since he has been a blazer, i dont want to lose him i think he plays a lot bigger role for this team than most people think.
