With Deng Out Gordon Should Start
I always felt that Gordon deserved to start anyway, however, I understood the reasoning of bringing him off of the bench even if I disagreed.
If we see Wallace, Smith, Noce, Thabo, and Hinrich start again tonight it will be a complete and utter joke. We'd have three bad or unproven scorers, one inconsistent player, and Joe Smith.
Since Boylan has taken over, Gordon has averaged 23.4 ppg, 48% shooting, and has shot a blistering 47% from behind the arch. He's doing this in only 33.9 mpg. No player with that production would ever come off of the bench for another team, given the current situation.
With Deng out Gordon simply has to start. It's common sense, which leads me to believe that it won't happen. That being said, if this franchise is still serious about winning and getting to the playoffs it now has to be through Ben Gordon. He needs to start, and for the time being it has to become his team.

1. Gordon
2. Hinrich
3. Sefolosha
4. Smith
5. Wallace
Then use Chuckioni off the bench as the 6th man. Theoretically, he could sub for anyone in the starting lineup and you could still pull it off:
Sub for Hinrich, Gordon or Thabo:
1. Gordon/Hinrich
2. Sefolosha/Hinrich
3. Nocioni
4. Smith
5. Wallace

Pretty much what I was about to post.
I never really agreed with the Gordon benching either, but I do understand that there were good reasons for it. I think it's about time we inserted him back into the lineup.
I think we might start seeing more of the young frontcourt like we have all been demanding too, it was said that if things are clearly not going to get turned around more big minutes would start to be introduced to the young'uns. I think we are reaching that stage, and with Deng out and our soft schedule not really kicking into the wins column, I think the staff are starting to realize things just aren't going to suddenly start going our way.

Agreed with girlygirl on the lineup but the reality is it doesn't make too much difference as long as either Gordon or Noc come off the bench.
It may actually make more sense to start Noc because when he comes in off the bench with a crappy scoring second unit (basically as bad as the first but no one who can tell him to stop shooting) he goes crazy trying to throw shots up.

With this lineup, you have no one coming off the bench who is a big scorer. Hinrich isn't going to give you 25 points off the bench. With Luol out, either Noc or BG (NOT both) needs to come off the bench to give the bench some firepower.
While I too would like to see the lineup you suggested, I don't think we need to have Hinrich score a ton to be productive off of the bench. Most teams don't have the luxury of bringing a 20 point guy off of the bench. In many cases you're fortunate to have a guy score 13 off of the bench. If we can get 10-12 from Hinrich on better shooting that'll be enough fire power, IMO. If BG get's his usual, and Noce and Smith chip in with around 16 we'd be getting fairly good offensive production.

I don't wanna see the Hinrich-Gordon-Sefolosha starting lineup. If Sefolosha is plaing sf, that means Duhon is going to be heavily in the rotation, Noch is playing pf, and Tyrus is riding the pine. While Deng is out we should have Noch play only at the 3, with Sefolosha backing him up.
Gordon (10)/Hinrich (38)/Duhon
Sefolosha (19)/Gordon (29)
Nocioni (34)/Sefolosha (14)
Smith(24)/Tyrus (24)
Noah (33)/Gray (15)/Wallace
the change at 5 is just cause it's what needs to be done. 8 man rotation that cuts the crap (Duhon/Wallace), lets the young guys develop (heavy minutes for Sefolosha/Tyrus/Noah), gives Kirk a chance to pull out of his ineptitude, gives Gordon the minutes a scorer of his caliber deserves, and keeps Smith in, cause God willing...er Smith willing, we can win with this rotation. And if we still suck, at least it will be watchable, unlike the 30 point losses with Duhon/Wallace combining for 80 minutes.
