Z can kick the ball out well to spot-up shooters. Haywood needs to be left alone to deal with Z. Smalls man up at the arc against Cleveland's spot-up shooters and we'll be okay.

Larry's man can double into the paint on drives by Bron. If Larry beats us with outside ump shots, so be it.

what he said

I hate it when they try to help BTH. He don't need it.

I was kinda hoping when we drafted DMac that he could be our
designated LeTravel stopper. But he probably won't get any burn
tonight unless it's a blowout.

Go Wiz!

This is the current 4-5 matchup if the season ended today.

I hope Les Wiz treat this like a playoff game, a chance to make a statement. Even throw LeTravel to the floor one more time. Just to get in his head, that every time he plays the Wiz its gonna get rough for him that night. I don't think he'll crack like Migraine Pippen, but I don't mind sending a message.

Let's hoop it up like this game matters something tonight.

Remember this?

Image

James also was never the same after Washington center Brendan Haywood laid a hard foul on him late in the first quarter, catching James with a forearm across the neck after he had scored nine of the Cavs' first 19 points. James had only two points in the second quarter and four in the third period before shooting 2-for-10 in the fourth.

A voice of exasperation called out from the lower end zone seats, the fan's voice a mix of desperation, disgust and disbelief.

"Come on LeBron! What are you doing?"

That fan's shout out came with 9.7 seconds left in Cleveland's 89-84 loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night after James had passed up an opportunity to go for a game-tying 3-point shot, instead feeding the ball inside to Anderson Varejao, who was stripped of the ball by Gilbert Arenas to end the Cavs' last chance.

Don't forget the chat tonight guys: http://www.realgm.com/src_chat.php

Game starts in 1 hour. We had a good turnout last game (about 15 people). Hopefully we'll get more in tonight.

Pre-game, Buck pronounces Varejao's last name "Va-ra-jon." Should be a fun night.

I'm all for community, but the chat is ridiculous. Every missed shot is followed by some hyperbolically negative and 'Fire EJ.' It's the same reason I cant watch the Redskins with my brother. Have fun, though.

I tend to tune that out...plus we discuss other stuff when there's some lag time, such as global warming and the latest fashion trends (actually Miller starts that up).

At least that's what it says on DirecTV. If you have cable, it's still worth checking out.

Pine
Since now that I paid for League Pass does it make me a hater to kind of not like the free preview week?

(I liked the preview games last year when I was being a short money tight ass. :noway: )

Seriously, if you're addicted to the Wiz like I am, League Pass is worth the money and then some.

I've really enjoyed watching this year's Wizards.

Haven't been in chat once because I can't get in.

I am glad to see the EJ hate ain't coming from me.

I think the only areas I've had problems with EJ are the same as most: Etan over Brendan, Jarvis and Ruffin who are history, Songaila's minutes but he's down on the depth chart with OPEC healthy, and the protecting the lane with smalls while the perimeter is open-- but they aren't doing that any more. Thank goodness.

I feel EJ's done a damn good job this season and the crowning moments were in the Boston wins. Thibodeau is a great defensive coach, but to see Ayers come in and have similar results, and on top of that beat the Cs twice was just sweet.

I'm behind Jordan as long as he keeps coaching as he has the past couple months.

Things are looking better and better. When Daniels, another guy I had been down on, and DeShawn, who I had thrown under the bus, too; play--this team plays hard and generally wins.

Oh, this was about chat ... I miss the chat room. The old familiars get together and generally it's all in fun. And in chat, you don't have to worry about later re-living the irrational crap posted in anger. It's cool to call guys names and cuss at times in chat, but not so on the board when the defenders of EJ and the haters of me come out.

As for this game, I'm more concerned about guys like Gibson, Jones, Pavlovic, and Devin Brown keeping the Cavs alive with big shots. Larry Hughes is also capable of having a big game vs his old team.

Cleveland's rebounding could be factor because the Wizards bench is young and inconsistent. Varajeo would have to be considered a better bet to crash the boards than Blatche, Pecherov, or Songaila.

Washington shouldn't be favored this game, but I'm looking forward to seeing Jamison go off per usual against Cleveland.

Lebron will get his and then some. Butler will be the difference if the Wizards are to win.

If Caron plays like he did the last game vs Pierce, the Wizards can steal one in Cleveland.

I like the way the Wiz are playing, so far. I'll take Haywood dunks over Big Z 20 footer all day long, thank you.

Me too, Ruz. Exchanging favors the Wizards so long as it's not Lebron going to the holle.

Bad sign that Pavlovic has exceed his season average with 2 assists. Cleve's won the last 5 games that he's had at least 3 assists. (In your face, Buckhanz!)

Ooh, Pavlovic gets assist #3. We are essentially Pavlov's dogs. :(
