#2 D Leaguer....
wtf are we doing waiving this guy. he's averaging 10, 6.7, and 2.7 blocks! per game, that's more than pob could ever do in D-league. we always talk about grabbing guys like paul milsap but when we do get a guy that can bang around on the inside, we waive him and sign a guy like Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmbenga.

Nellie likely wouldn't of played him anyway.

I still say... if the guy is so great, why doesn't another team give him a chance?

well i dont expect him to become the next jermaine oneal type of player. but we can develop him into a shot blocker and a rebounder. which is what we whine about daily anyways.

I think someone will in about 29 days.

Teams are waiting for the Trade deadline. They arent filling roster spots since 2 for 1 and 3 for 2 trades would require an extra spot.

warriors can also just cut Hudson & re-sign Lasme. However, the Warriors are clearly talking trade too

The W's had a Lasme type in Larry Smith back in the day...though Smith was more boards and less blocks and ultimately did bulk up more. Lasme is the RBD/D banger built for a running team. The irony will be when someone else signs him and he abuses our soft front line.

Nellie won't play him.

Well.....that may well be. I'm thinking Nellie does his thing this year and next---then we have the next coach who---I would hope-uses all Nellie DOES develop and adds all Nellie is neglecting. Lasme could be a part of that. Maybe never a big part but if you are lost in the desert...maybe a quart of water is worth an ounce of gold.

In a side note...another guy I liked in the draft..Noah, just had a 14 pt 15 rbd game. He was my original target when we were talking with Bob's fans pre-trade. Oh well.

My 08 frontrunner, Hansborough had a big 35 pt game yesterday..looked as relentless as ever. Still a 6-9 whiteguy overachiever...still a PLAYER and a difference maker.

Meanwhile.....Lasme costs us NOTHING more than a call to THud to say bye-bye.
CENSORED... No comment.

Lasme sucks.

That Nelson and Mullin cut him tells me all I need to know.

I agree that Lasme is #2... we need more #2s on this team, our current #2s aren't even doing that well...

I think one more #2 and Nellie will be completely full of #2.

rutheredfox, that's Rowell's sarcasm. He thinks Lasme is the greatest thing since... since I don't know what.

I don't know that this information is very reliable but I was entertained by the energy with which it was delivered to me by a friend from Washington with no major NBA connections that I know of.

He's in Boise this weekend for one reason and one reason only: to watch Sene play up close and personal.

Supposedly, the Phoenix Suns had some sort of representation in Boise last night. I don't think it means anything specific since NBA folks attend a lot of D-League games (even in Boise) and Sene is the most interesting player for either team that played last night and plays again tonight.

But just barely (barely!) worth shuttling about for kicks, all the same.
