Question?

Post#1 » by steve101 » Thu Jan 24, 2008 3:16 am

How the hell wasn't that an And1 for Calderon when Big Baby fouled him on the baseline and he got the layup? Its all good that we won but I couldn't believe there wasn't continuation.

i guess the officials thought he was a half step from starting his move. i thought it could have been called either way.

Referees will often give the player a dribble on continuation, if he is putting the ball on the floor at the time the foul is called. In the case of Calderon, I believe that he was already in the motion of re-gathering the ball; in that case, the referees will tend to consider the shot to be a continuation of that one motion, and thus award the free throw if the shot is made.

I never heard a commentator attack one referee like Tommy did to the one "young" referee. It was pretty sad and not good for the game.

I have league pass and I don't understand why they always play the Boston feed. There post game team/show wasn't bad though.

At one point you just realize, why should I get angry at this tool. He's been an idiot like this for the past 3 years... I feel sory for people with league pass though:D.
