Toronto couldn't stop us from getting layups all night. They won by a bucket despite it being every Toronto player's birthday.

If I were a Raptors fan, I'd be (a) pretty excited about the win, and (b) aware this team will never shoot this well again...ever.

So we lost by 2 on a night when Toronto couldn't miss. OK.

The only thing that bothers me is how open the shooters were. Rondo should be ashamed of himself tonight. Love the kid, but how many times can you try to go over the screen and get burned??????????????

And how Doc cannot realize Toronto is running the same play 80 times in a row?

But again, whatever. Toronto shoots less than 80% from 3 and we win easily.

Brilliant analysis. I guess we can tell you started reading this thread at page 28

and if Toronto doesn't turn the ball over 20 some odd times, we win easily...

and before you say that the turnovers were caused by the defence, so were the open shots that nba players are supposed to hit.

LMAO... 1 win in 4 tries and some of these Raps fans puff their chests out like Mr Incredible.

um, there were two close games, you won one and we won one. fair enough. the other two games? oh year, BLOWOUTS.

to the non-troll raps fans, good game. you guys are certainly tough to beat when you shoot well, and you have a lot of good shooters.

Good game... yeah we only beat you by two after killing on the shots, but we usually don't turn it over a million times, and we don't give up that many offensive rebounds...

Anyway, you guys are clearly the better team by far, don't get baited by Raptors trolls.... and it will be interesting to see in a couple of years what happens if the tables are turned on these two teams...

Hope you guys beat those ******* Pistons, I hate them...

Tommy calmed down a bit.

Who is your radio broadcaster? He's a funny guy went over and gave Chuck Swirsky his salami and cheese.

Attention Raps trolls...

G_MoNeY wrote:Got my mind working the trade checker for another move, if this one were to happen.

NJ Trades:
RJ/Allen/Boone/Armstrong

TOR Trades: Bosh/Graham/Garbajosa

TOR saves $20M roughly doing this deal. They get insurance with Armstrong to backup Calderon. Colangelo is actively searching for PG help. Allen and Armstrong are both expiring deals. They get a young big in Boone who would shine in their system, in my opinion. We rid ourselves of RJ but RJ provides something TOR needs. They lose their franchise in Bosh -- but is he really worth the extra $20M? At first glance, probably...but who knows. Saving that money they could attract a top-tier FA or have flexibility to make draft day moves.

Our new team:

Starters: Kidd/VC/Nocioni/Bosh/Krstic

Bench: Duhon/Sefolosha/Graham/J. Smith/Sean Williams

We only shot 71% from 3. Last I checked 71% is less than 80%.

And we had, what, 18 turnovers? On the season we're #2 in fewest turnovers per game at under 12 last I checked. And the vast majority of those were careless, sloppy, unforced turnovers. Like Parker losing it out of bounds with about 3:00 to go in the 4th. Or Bosh making a "skim" pass for no reason on the offensive end. Or Calderon passing it behind Parker on the fastbreak.

We also only had 4 offensive rebounds. We're not a great rebounding team, but 4 has got to be a season low. And we don't usually allow the other team 16 offensive rebounds either.

I've watched every Raptors game this year, and this was easily one of the sloppiest we've had.

I really think we should have an embassy of raps fans (sarah42, peteyjones, peralta, and terryoh would be my picks) that can come on this board and speak for raps nation so we don't have to deal with the rest of them.

Hey now! I may post sporadically (can you blame me?) so I'm forgotten easily, but I tend to think I'm one of the more realistic posters on the Raps board. Then again I'm an NBA fan as much as a Raps fan and I think you'll find that most of the Raptors trolls are not the former.

That was an unbelievable game. As a Raptor fan I'm ecstatic to get out of there with a win but I can't help but question some of Doc's moves. Hard to blame a guy who's team is #1 in the league but I really think Big Baby Davis should have closed out the game. He's the prototype of the Raptor's achilles heel and was doing a great job all game. He's got such great hands and a nice touch around the basket, hopefully he's got a work ethic because he's got a nice career ahead of him, everybody loves a rebounder.

What a relief that this is our final game against you guys. I'll be pulling for you come playoff time because nobody deserves a championship more than KG, and I've loved Pierce since his ROY race with Carter in '99. Do I even need to mention Mr. Shuttlesworth? My heart skipped a beat when he took that fade with .5 seconds left.

Here's hoping the Raptors avoid the Celtics in the playoffs and KG gets his ring. Peace.

Don't forget the fast-break points, we got outscored 23-0 on them. Basically we got smashed on the boards, we got smashed inside the paint (56-16), we were careless with the ball (18 turnovers) and we didn't get any second chance points, hence the 16-4 offensive rebound advantage for Boston. For the exception of our hot shooting, we played the rest of the game well under par and still beat the best team in the league on their home-court. So I guess you can look at it both ways.

Yes and if Ray Alen doesnt hit a prayer of a three pointer in OT in the first meeting of the season between these two teams, Toronto splits the regular season series 2-2

If Jose Calzone doesnt get a lucky 3 point play the seasons a sweep.

Anyways Jumpshooting teams are like this: Either there Hot or Cold

Tonight The Raps were Hot. Also not to mention we didnt have Posey one of our Best Perimiter Defensive players. Yeah the Raptors sneaked away with a win with a good performance thou i give props there.

And to anyone else who's complaining (Didnt read whole thread) Relax were still #1
