This game is probably a bigger win than the Detroit win. The Magic played the best 48 minutes of ball since an early game against Seattle.

The Magic stormed to a lead. And played hard to hold the lead. Play well early, play well late.

Fantastic

1. with the way the players were shooting the three the outcome of the game was never in jeopardy.
2. the only thing that is somewhat worrisome is the possibility of dwight feeling a little down because he has not been getting his numbers.
3. hedo needs to time his pick and roll so that he can lob the ball to dwight about two out of five times.
4. currently, hedo just drives hard to the basket completely ignoring dwight.
5. the opposing teams are realizing that it is "pick your poison" when they are facing the magic which is just great.
6. either try to shut down the perimeter game and let dwight bully, or double/triple team dwight and let the sharpshooters shoot sharp.
7. if the defense continues to improve, the magic will be a more than decent team set for an exciting playoff run.
only 10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists shy of yet another triple double - anonymous

No.

When Dwight sets a pick&roll, Hedo gets sometimes double teamed for a short period of time, Dwight is indeed open but it's not smart to lob the ball to him especially when he's far away from the basket. It happened on 1 occassion if you haven't noticed, Hedo lobbed it to Dwight, he was a bit far away from the basket and it resulted in an offensive foul for Dwight. The most touches Dwight gets is from Hedo. It's not easy as you say to lob it to Dwight when they are far away from the basket. When Hedo attacks the basket Dwight is covered immediately, so lobbing it to him would result in a lot of TO's. Cause Dwight was getting a lot of dunks in the beginning of the season, now that he's got full attention they double or triple team him A LOT more. Dwight is really working hard to get his points, he was getting them easy at the start of the season with 9 dunks every game, now it's 2-3 max.

Yes we need to give Dwight more touches, but not at the expense of the gameplan. Dwight doesn't get many touches as I'd like but his presence gives us so many open shots. The pick&roll with Hedo & Dwight is a killer on so many levels. And as long as we win i'm ok with Dwight not getting his shots. Cause he does so many other things very well.

Nonetheless I still want him to get the ball more,
simple because he's so unselfish and works so hard.
I'd prefer Dwight miss a shot then to witness Arroyo or Dooling take a forced shot, wether it goes in or not. Cause Dwight deserves it, he works hard on D then has to set a pick most of the time. I'm sure Hedo wants to lob him the ball but it's just not easy as it used to be during the start of the season.

also, just a quick note. 3 mins, 7 pts, 75%fg. that's what i'd call efficient and deserving of more time - especially in a blowout.

why complain when things are going well?

I see, I guess it's your contention then that the purpose of the game threads is to complain. That would explain a lot.

Yeah, I know....I guess I just have been frustrated with all the divisiveness lately. There is no less complaining here -- or trade threads -- than there was the year the Magic went 21-61. Just fewer draft threads. There is very little appreciation for the good work that is being done and no understanding at all when they do have bad nights. It's like they think the players are freakin' robots who never should make any mistakes and should always be perfect physical specimens. They only can see the bad. I honestly think there are many here who would be much happier if we were the Miami Heat.
