Please don't forget how bad we crushed you guys the other two games. Those were up there with the whoopins the BOS gave NY this year.

Chris Bosh and Andrea Bargnani didnt play in the Dec 7th game and TJ Ford missed the Dec 16th game.

Wow, I've never really seen anything like that shooting display. 15-21 from 3, 19-19 from the line? One of the worst defensive performances this year definitely played a role in it, but that was just crazy shooting. Every open 3 gets knocked down and even several tough/covered ones. You can probably count the amount of times a team willl shoot that well in NBA history on one hand.

If they can go 15-21 from 3, 19-19 from the line against us...they deserve to win. I just wouldn't count on it happening ever again.

And Ray Allen didn't play when the Celtics blew out Toronto in their own house on the 16th. No excuses.

If Jose Calzone doesnt get a lucky 3 point play the seasons a sweep.

Anyways Jumpshooting teams are like this: Either there Hot or Cold

Tonight The Raps were Hot. Also not to mention we didnt have Posey one of our Best Perimiter Defensive players. Yeah the Raptors sneaked away with a win with a good performance thou i give props there.

And to anyone else who's complaining (Didnt read whole thread) Relax were still #1

Did you see what happened when our back up PG came in the game? We were without TJ Ford, so i think that more than cancels out Posey being out.

True but Bustini didn't completly and utterly suck. In fact he had perhaps a carrer worthy game. 20 point 7 rebounds 7 assists. Who does he think he is? KG? 8)

Toronto couldn't stop us from getting layups all night. They won by a bucket despite it being every Toronto player's birthday.

If I were a Raptors fan, I'd be (a) pretty excited about the win, and (b) aware this team will never shoot this well again...ever.

So we lost by 2 on a night when Toronto couldn't miss. OK.

The only thing that bothers me is how open the shooters were. Rondo should be ashamed of himself tonight. Love the kid, but how many times can you try to go over the screen and get burned??????????????

And how Doc cannot realize Toronto is running the same play 80 times in a row?

But again, whatever. Toronto shoots less than 80% from 3 and we win easily.

In a game where Toronto made nearly double the amount of turnovers they normally make (most of which were terrible unforced turnovers), and didn't bother rebounding....

Toronto hardly played a perfect game, but whatever you guys need to tell yourself.

Raptors got owned on the offensive glass, turned the ball over, yet the Celtics couldn't capitalize.

Tough break.

I'm going to respond to this post because similar other Raps fans have responded similarly.

What I need to tell myself? We played sloppy D, and you couldn't miss from the floor. If you think this game provides any indication as to how a 7-game series would be, then, well, whatever you guys need to tell yourself.

We have the best defense in the league. So complaining about turning the ball over a lot doesn't strike me as something crazy. Not like shooting 71.4% from 3-point range and 100% from the FT line.

The biggest aberration was FG shooting, 3-pt shooting in particular.

It was an exciting game. Toronto deserved to win. I like your players, they're fun to watch. Besides Bosh, they're really soft and that manifested itself in the points-in-the-paint discrepancy.

I'm much more concerned with our losses to the Wizards. Last night we lost by 2 points to a quality team that simply couldn't miss. If I were you I'd bet on turning the ball over 20 times before you make 15-21 from downtown. But that's just me.

Just one more thing. I love the umbrage taken by Raps fans HERE ON THE CELTICS BOARD.

It's not like I went over the Raps board and started talking smack about how this game doesn't mean anything and we're better blah blah blah. I don't do that. If I do go over to another team's board after a loss it's to congratulate them. (And if I go after a win, I'm not the type to rub it in.) I'm not a troll, never have been, never will be.

So when I post something to my FELLOW CELTICS FANS about how I see the loss as it impacts and is a reflection of the team, don't go off on me for apparently showing your team disrespect. I wasn't talking to you, you little babies who need to search the internet for bulletin board material. You're the trolls.

No need to cry.

Its not like this victory means the Raptors are instant championship contenders.

Its not like this loss means the Celtics will miss the playoffs.

The fact that two boards who have so many members going back and forth is amusing.

Whats more amusing is that people's feelings seem to be hurt.

Get over it. Its a message board.

Tommy is probably still bitching about last nights game. If that guy had an account on realgm....oh man...

Yes and if Ray Alen doesnt hit a prayer of a three pointer in OT in the first meeting of the season between these two teams, Toronto splits the regular season series 2-2

First, it wasn't a prayer. It was an open shot.

Second, if he doesn't hit the shot, the game's still tied. We probably still end up winning.

It's not "going back and forth" it's rap trolls swarming our board like they do after every win, loss or mention of any person who has any affiliation with the Raptors organization. You people are flat out obnoxious.
