We need to go 5-1 to be able to feel a little more comfortable in the standings. After these 6, we have a pretty tough 4 game road trip and right now we're only 1 game away from being 9th place. After this home stand we go on the road to play Detroit and Indiana back to back, then Houston, and finish off against Dallas (which is the first of a back to back, having Sacramento at home the next night). This home stand is going to be big. We could start to slip quickly if we dont take care of business

From what I've seen, it's teams with dominant paint men that the Blazers have trouble with. I could see Houston giving us problems even w/o TMac.

I'm calling for 4-2 with losses to Houston and either Denver or Atlanta.

5-1

Houston, Jan. 25: Houston is going to be more rested than Portland, but we'll be fired up to be back home and the Rockets really aren't a great team. Blazers win by 10 or so.

Atlanta, Jan. 27: They'll be looking for revenge and both teams should be rested, but Portland is much better at home than on the road so this won't be as close as the last. We win by 10 or so again.

Cleveland, Jan. 30: They have a few days off before this game so they'll be well-rested, and the Cavs are playing really well right now. If we lose any game during this homestand, it will be this one. I say we lose by 6.

New York, Feb. 1: They're going to be in the midst of a pretty brutal roadtrip (@Lakers on the 29th, @Utah on the 30th), and they're a terrible team anyway. This is a blowout win for Portland.

Denver, Feb. 4: Playoff atmosphere for this one, both teams fired up! Fatigue shouldn't be a factor for either team. The Rose Garden crowd makes the difference here, Portland wins by single digits.

Chicago, Feb. 6: This is the middle of a brutal roadtrip for them, they're not much of a team anyway. Relatively easy win for Portland.

i say 6-0, they had a rough road trip, but i think they will bounce back nicely and get a little streak together to build confidence to go into detroit and dallas lookin for some impressive road wins. there are a few of these home games that scare me with denver, cleveland and houston, but thats an everyday thing so im hoping the crowd can will them to victory for a few games cuz they might need it.
