NY Gets: Jamaal Tinsley, Marquis Daniels
NY Gives: Jamal Crawford, Fred Jones
Why? Obviously NY needs a change, this gives them a possible new backcourt with Marbury's future in limbo. Tinsley I believe played for isiah in Indy and can be a good floor general for the Knicks, Daniels can also use a change and fit in well in an Isiah system.
Tinsley/Marbury
Daniels/Collins
Balkman/Richardson
Randolph/Lee
Curry/Chandler
Indy Gets: Jason Terry, Fred Jones
Indy Trades: Jamaal Tinsley, Marquis Daniels
Terry/Dienier
Dunleavy/Jones
Granger/Williams
Murphy/Diogu
O'Neal/Foster
Why? The two could use a change of scenary stemming from their off court issues, with Dunleavy Murphy and O'Neal, Indy cant look to a rebuild mode, so they can get a player like Terry who can step in and be the starting PG. Jones was a fan favorite in his Indy days and is also expiring.
Dal Gets: Jamal Crawford
Dal trades: Jaosn Terry
Why? They get a bigger version of Terry to start with Harris, Crawford simply has what dallas needs, a SG with more size, he can also help create shots and ball movement.
Harris/(Trade an excess wingman for PG)/Barera
Crawford/Jones
Howard/Stack
Dirk/Bass
Damp/Diop

The last thing NY needs is another couple of disruptive and divisive lockerroom presences in Tinsley and Daniels. And Tinsley is no more the answer for NY's PG's needs than he is for the Pacers. Daniels by himself is fine but NY has no need for Tinsley's long contract. And Crawford is not the problem for this team. He is the Knicks best player. He is widely considered to be a great teammate and a great individual. And he's playing the best basketball of his career in the past dozen and a half games. And Fred Jones expiring contract is also worth more than just this.

Terry out produces the taller Crawford in every catagorty (including defensive stats) per min and does that on better % shooting.
NY is not going to trade Crawford for Terry much less Crawford for Stackhouse.

Hense why that trade has not been pulled off or even rumord. Dallas wants no part of Crawford and NY has no need for Terry. Besides, in this deal, Terry lands in Indy, so I don't get your you whole motivation for wasting the time to type that responce other than to try and bolster your players. It's kinda like me saying we would not trade Terry for Tinsley, much less Daniels to an Indy fan when Daniels & Tinsley end up in NY.moocow007 wrote:NY is not going to trade Crawford for Terry much less Crawford for Stackhouse.

It's called making your point (about Stackhouse for Crawford) moot.
You said that you may trade Stackhouse for Crawford. To which, I responded, NY wouldn't even trade Crawford for Terry (who's better than Stackhouse) so why would they do your proposed offering?

But Terry does not concern you as he ends up in Indy. A more appropriate responce would be an INDY fan saying they would not do the deal if Stack was coming there way. My statement only was from Dallas in & out and somehow, you felt it was your right to assume your player is automattically better for any team that our player lands. That's just confontational, not helpful.moocow007 wrote:It's called making your point (about Stackhouse for Crawford) moot.

That's not what I was inferring but to be quite honest based on how Crawford has been playing the past 20 or so games, he would be better for the Mavericks then I think you think. Crawford has been terrific and, along with Nate Robinson, pretty much the sole reasons for the Knicks recent 4 of 6 run. Both of the NY guards are shooting extremely high percentages, not turning the ball over much, scoring, passing and energizing the teams. Of any Knick player, Crawford would fit the Mavericks style of play. On a team where the other players actually move well without the ball (not a strong point of the Knicks) he'd actually be even more effective with his ability to pretty much break down anyone that's guarding him (which he's been doing a lot more of).
