That's because the guard position was ridiculously deep in the West. I could have voted for six guys on that team. They split the votes. KG is always a fan favorite because it's clear he always works hard. And you know the hype....LeBron is going to be bigger than Jordan. He is The King, you know? Have you ever listened to one of the Cavs' radio broadcasts. One of their broadcasters doesn't even call him by his name anymore. They just call him, "King.'' The guy is talented, but that's a little over the top.

I'm expecting a lot of alley-oops from the east.
Dwight is going to dominate.

Well the West starters aren't exactly slouches either ...

Congrats to the most dominant C in the league. He has improved his TO, his ball handling, free throw, and demands the most attention in the league. Only winning the dunk contest will top his first allstar start.

A no brainer.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Was he called Josh Howard? I thought the announcers called him Juwan.

Well look at last year with Shaq ...

He played a whole 6 games and was voted the starting C for the East.

He was called both from time to time, but he was called Josh Howard far more than the Juwan from what I saw.

Dwight is already a million times better than any other center in the East. I'm surprised that it was as close as it was, despite it not being close if that makes any sense.

He was the best center last season in the East and *maybe* the year before that too.

About time damn time. This should be really Dwight's 3rd All Star game after he got jobbed in favour of Rasheed Wallace a couple years back

I heard on ESPN that they will let Dwight bring the basket up to 12 foot so he can perform some super dunks!

i think after last year's debacle the NBA is determined to give the fans a show, and they figure letting Dwight do his thing is the best way to do it. Allowing the players to be as creative as possible is the ONLY way to bring back the dunk contest. I think they need more contestants though. 4 is way too few. Needs to have 6-8 every year.

I'm waiting for the dunk contest where someone lines up four tables long ways starting at the 3-point line and runs on top of em and jumps from the 3-point line to dunk. :D

^ I rekon Mike Conley Sr could have had a good chance at pulling that dunk off.
