can the Magic win another 23 games?

Post#1 » by theTHIEF » Fri Jan 25, 2008 6:30 pm

we are currently 27-17 that's 44 games played so far, which by my math leaves 38 more games to be played...Is is possible to see this team win another 23 games yielding us 50 wins? that means we would need to go 23-15 for the rest of the season...

wicked impossible, or just plausible enough?

after all, we only have to stay slightly over .500 the rest of the way to accomplish it...

50+ would be nice, don't we have an easier schedule down the stretch? we've gone through some wars so far

We went through hell early on, and now we're reaping the rewards. It's just a matter of showing up for every game and we can definitely get to 50 wins.
Plus, I said 50-32 before the season began so that'd be pretty nice. :D

50, easy. The schedule is a lot easy after this weekend. If we can continue to win againist lesser teams most of the time, then it will be easy.

After Sunday we only meet Boston and Detroit one more time each.

All our west coast games are DONE.

We only play 4-5 more games againist elite teams.

We play miami twice, phillie 4 times, New York twice, Atlanta three times

I could go on all day, but i won't. As long as we stay healthy we will be in a great position come april

I say 50 plus due to the amount of home games left, lack of remaining western opponents, and an overall lackluster remaining schedule

1. the magic will definitely be around 50.
2. whether they reach the plateau will probably depend on the competition for home-court advantage.
3. there should be no long-term injury for any of the big three, though.
only 10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists shy of yet another triple double - anonymous

well the only thing that scares me is

Fri 07 vs. Indiana L 109-115
Mon 10 vs. Atlanta L 87-98
Wed 12 @ Milwaukee L 86-100
Sat 15 vs. Memphis L 119-123
Wed 02 vs. New Jersey L 95-96
Fri 04 vs. Houston L 94-96
Tue 08 @ Sacramento L 100-104

all games i thought we should have dominated, 4 of which we DID dominate by over 12 points and some how found a way to lose...

I agree. In most of those games I wish we could have turned off the score board. and make them play till the ref blew the whistle.

at the begining of the year i thaught 46-36 would be a good season for us... but right now it looks like we will be right at 50 wins.... i think we will get there becuase of what everybody has already mentioned about the schedule... plus dont we only have like 3 back to backs left??? which is great because of how much we shoot the 3, rested legs seem to make our team really go.

If our major players stay mostly healthy for the rest of the season, we should do that.

I still sticking with mid-upper 40s - 46 to 48.

I would love to be wrong.

A lot can happen in 38 games:
- injuries
- trades
- player drop off in production
- etc ...

Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

i predicted 47-48 wins before the season...which i think is still possible ....50 would be great...but i wont hold my breath..

Bottom line is...its as possible as it is impossible :) lets just see.
