Yeah, I fully understood keeping Peterson for those reasons. Though, seeing how little Mitchell used Peterson, I'm not so sure it was the right decision. No biggy though, just weird how we let three free agents go for nothing.

Once Garbo went down I thought that keeping MoPete turned out to be pretty huge. Didn't he start 4 games in the playoffs?

I always questioned BC`s decision to sign Kapono and let go of Peterson.

I dont know if this was mentioned as I only read the first page but...

Araujo was a byproduct of Glenn Grunwald. He himself predicted that the Raptors would take him and MLSE forced Babcock into picking him to protect their #1 asset Chris Bosh from taking more unnecessary(sp?) beatings. I met Glenn Grunwald, and that was the one question I asked him "How about that Araujo?" And he said he believed he would become a great fixture on the Toronto Raptors.

Even the Vince Carter trade can be considered Grunwalds fault as he didnt trade him when he should have, he was too scared.

I dont know how some of you dont realize this but Rob Babcock existance in the Raptors organization was a PR move called reputation management. I believe Rob knew this coming in, but decided it was still a nice oppurtunity for him to showcase his talent evaluation. If only he woulda picked Danny Granger with that 16th pick...

Babcock is the worst, IMO

If you're trading VC for garbage, trade it to a Western team or another Eastern non-Atlantic division team. But no, he traded to New Jersey and became playoff (championship) caliber team since.

Good thing Nets never won anything, I would've beat the living hell out of Babcock if it did.

Return to Toronto Raptors
