Predictions

Post#1 » by UKF » Fri Jan 25, 2008 7:06 pm

Just let everyone know what you think will happen. Whether it is about trades or the team as a whole, just let your Ms Cleo out. This would probably be best as a sticky so we can look back at it to see who was right and who was wrong..

I think the Kings will trade Ron Artest and Quincy Douby for David Lee in a package at the trade dealine and that the Kings will come short of the playoffs. The Kings will draft Darren Collison with the 13th pick in the draft and next year we will win the Super Bowl!

I have a feeling there will be a major move by the deadline. It may be something that helps us contend this year or helps us rebuild. Not too sure.

I have a feeling that Petrie will do something that none of us predicted.

Like doing nothing at all?

I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happened, and wouldn't be too disappointed either. If it weren't for turnovers, we would easily have a winning record.

There have been several on this board who have already prediceted that Petrie won't do anything, so that doesn't qualify as Petrie "doing something that none of us predicted".
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Ya, mitchweber is right, I just don't see any of the trades the kings have talked about materializing. Artest is leaving after this year, so the knicks won't trade for him (especially if Lee is involved) and the Cavs don't have anything to offer for Bibby.

Its going to be quite a bummer. But I think that we will be in a similar position as last season mediocer team with a sub 500 record that gets a decent pick, but no where near the top 5. I wish we would just start over and create a new Sac Kings

I predicted that already.

I predict that I will predict something that Ron has predicted in the predictable past.

Watch this, my prediction is about to come true...

If Ron is here after the trade deadline he will predict we make the playoffs yet he takes it a step further and predicts we will win a championship.

Wow, we have the same (Almost, only a one game better) record from last year (41 games)... Hopefully, we will get hot and make a run like 2 years ago...

My prediction is that petrie doesn't make any moves or changes and we get a mediocre pick somewhere around 14. Effectively putting money in the maloofs pockets and wasting a year we could be using to rebuild and develop a good team.

We are very poorly built right now and do not have the ability to casually half rebuild and be in contention. We need to all out rebuild with a winning diagram meaning focus on bigs in the draft or find a good PG that is pass first.

I predict that we will hover in mediocrity for several years without any truly great changes.

The sad thing is we are in a very good position to turn the team over to guys that are ready to handle the minutes and have a lot of young talent to groom. We'll see if that is allowed to happen.

I predict Petrie won't do anything, but the team starts winning. We miss the playoffs by a few games, and get the 14th-16th pick. Petrie and Maloofs are impressed with the kings push at the end, and decide winning now is the best thing to do. We resign Artest and Beno, have no more money, and keep the team relatively the same next year. Where, Bibby gets a year older, Artest becomes 100% untradeable, and Miller gets a year older as well. The kings start to slide a bit more, but now, we have 2 more big contracts we can't get rid of.

However, on the other hand, Miami is instantly rebuilt due to their draft pick, with a great pair with D.Wade. Portland starts to look amazing once Oden gets back. Seattle and Minn both start winning games because they each got a key missing piece. Playoffs in west of 09, ends up being Spurs, Dallas, Suns, Jazz, NO, Portland, Lakers, Denver. Our team falls even further behind, but it's too late to rebuild now, because we have too many bad contracts.

A few year passes, nothing drastic is done, all patches in attempts to win now, similiar to the new york knicks, instead of a major overhaul, leading to kevin martin leaving because he wants to win.

However, this entire time, the maloofs do not care at all, because all they want is an areana.

 i hope i'm wrong
