Gerald Green?
I hate to say this, as it comes across as a typical ball boy thread...
But this guy has a lot of potential, alot of potent explosive athletic talent.
Hes also not that bad at shooting anymore as well...
I dont see he cant be worth the gamble, and we are in dire need of good ahtletic finishers who can finish near the rim...
Why not Joey/Garbo(soon expirings) for Gerald...I'd take the gamble, becuase he CAN be a very productive player in this league.

wish there was a way realgm could auto-mod threads being created, something to the effect 'TOPIC BEATEN TO DEATH'. any suggestions anyone?
And also y not green? Coz the guy has a serious attitude problem, his developmental curve in the L has been even worse than Hoffa on a much worse team but he is under the impression he is the next coming of jesus who is held back in a system not built for him thus wants to get out. Ya..thats exactly what EVERY team needs.

Not sure if the thread was sparked by the wiretap or not, but he does want a trade at least, so that's a start.
I wouldn't to a Dixon and Joey for Gerald Green swap.
I think it would be a great trade for us. Not sure if it would be of any interest to Minny though. Don't really pay a lot of attention to them.

I may technically be a "coach", but I have been around for years.

He's unhappy with his PT in minnasota, and their wings suck worse then ours so he'd get even less playing time here. He wouldn't get PT ahead of Parker, Moon, Kapono, or Delfino. His bbiq is nil, and our team relies heavily on bbiq. Don't think he's a good fit here.

Assuming his head comes around with time, Green's talent might be worth taking a low risk flyer on.
But the problem is that Green wants out of Minnesota, the worst team in the association, because he's not getting enough minutes.
So why bring him here where he'll be permanently stapled to the bench and probably even more unhappy? And then he leaves as a free-agent this summer anyways making the entire move pointless.
Personally, I'd love to know where it is that Gerald Green and his agent think that all this playing time is waiting for him? He's shooting 34% from the floor and doesn't pass or defend.

You want us to get a guy who's not good enough to get PT on the worst team in the league, and then play him?
I don't think I'd even call it a typical ball-boy thread.

Moon wasnt supposedly good enough to even play in the league but someone took a chance on him and we see the result. Not saying that green=moon, but just because someone doesnt fit somewhere else doesnt necessarily mean they cant fit in here.
That said, the main issue id have over not doing this is getting rid of Garbo. Despite the closeness with Jose and not wanting to hurt that dynamic, he still is a solid role player and his value i think is more than trying to maximize Greens potential especially on this team which is trying to get over the hump into becoming a contender.

Maybe because of reality punching him in the face he and his family might be more open to joining a playoff team to help build up his rep as a player that helps teams win
Oh ok in that case I say no thanks. This just tells me that (if it is true) that he only plays for winning teams and isnt willing to work for your rep regarless which team you're on. Maybe he rubbed me off the wrong way in the beginning but if you're a rookie, dont act like you have control over anything. Just be happy where you get drafted and dont express negative things about any teams. Who knows, it might back you back in the butt.
