I think that's horrible and he better have made some great justification as to why the West has FOUR point guards on the roster (and Brandon Roy, effectively a PG).
and Jose Calderon? Decent player, I understand. All teams would like to have him, yes. But all-star? No.
Stein has a boner for guys that dribble the ball up the floor, I guess.

Instead of ranting on about his picks, let us know who deserve it over the guys you mentioned.
Come on tough guy, do it. Do it.

... and have the best TO/assist ratio in the league, average 90% from the FT line, 50 from the field and 40 from 3. All that while averaging a double double in points and assists as a starter, on a winning team, without a real back-up (Darrick Martin doesn't count) with Ford out.
And yeah he can dribble the ball up the floor.
He may NOT get voted by the coaches, but you can definitely make a case for him to be there. Why no to All-Star? because he's not a big name player?

Jose Calderon is a good pick, he plays like a top 6 PG when he starts IMO, but he doesn't average double digit assists as a starter, it's more like 9.3(Yeah, i'm picky)
Btw, you have the gayest avatar i've seen so far..

29 games started, 9.9 Assists/game.
Why is it gay?

I believe the rules are that the reserve selections do not depend on what position a player is listed at for the fan voting. So, if Bosh ends up being the biggest player off the bench for the East, that's a decision they are allowed to make.

Jose Calderon deserves it. He's been doing it under the radar since the last half of last year. 8.6 assists to 1.56 TO's and shoots over 50% he seems like the closest thing to John Stockton that we have seen in a while.
Carlos Boozer is 3rd in double doubles and is imo the most efficient player in the game.
Baron Davis shouldn't be a question; he's been lighting it up lately.
Brandon Roy I don't mind giving it to because from the games I've seen him play he is a big catalyst to the Trailblazers game. Still it's very close imo taking him over Deron Williams.
Honorable mentions are Ginobli (been injured), David West (competition at F is tough), Aldridge (see West), Jefferson (probably has a good case but it's hard to overlook that record. I wonder what his stats look like without the Phx games)........
