Dogs are pack animals and need to have a place in that pack - it's up to the humans to decide where that place is and be consistent since some dogs will challenge to be the pack leader.
I hope we arent talking about the same dog, my friend has a lab/pit mix and it is quite easily the greatest dog ever. If I could guarentee getting a simular dog, d have done it yesterday.
