My entire post was about him saying Harris has proven nothing. Kidd would not make us any better contenders than Harris; he would just make 1) older 2) better to those whe see the name on the back of the jersey only 3) pay out the ass in luxury tax.

But if you want to get into the specifics, Devin is the better FG shooter, better 3pt shooter, better ft shooter, better stealer, better scorer all together and turns the ball over less than Kidd.

Kidd is the better rebounder (which would go way down with the rebounders in Dallas) and the better passer.

LOL I guess Devin harris is better than kidd aswell...

The thing about guys like Parker and even Harris is that while they be shoot first pg, they are at least efficient in that role, not completely deficient when it comes to passing the ball (in other words they may be shoot first, but they are not ball hogs/chuckers) and perhaps most importantly they are good defenders.

IMO defense begins with an ability to pressure the ball. It begins with your pg. When you can get that it makes everybodies job easier. The other side of the coin being that when your pg is constantly getting posted up or giving up dribble penetration it forces everybody else to help and puts you at a severe disadvantage defensively. It gets your big men out of position and frequently even puts them in foul trouble and it creates all sort of easy opportunities both aroung the basket and perimeter.

My big knock on Calderon is his defense. That's a big part of why I DO take guys like Parker & Harris over him, not to mention Dre & even TJ.

I don't know how anyone can pick Bibby with a straight face.

Top 10 doesn't even do him justice. This guy is a work of art, star in the making at the point. I think he's been better than Tony Parker and Kidd this season, but those guys still command the respect.

Even though in a Raptors loss, he was spectacular and kept us in the game along with Bosh tonight. 23 points, on 8-11 shooting, 4-7 from deep, 3-4 from the line, 13 assists, 6 rebounds.

He needs to start getting into the discussions as one of the very best young point guards in the NBA.

Yeah, Jose was amazing today. Unfortunately, besides him and Bosh no one else decided to show up for tonights game.

I think by seasons end he'll be in talks of Top 5 or 6 points guards rather than just top 10.

I think we got lucky when Rob pulled Jose's name out of a hat filled with European players to sign.

It's funny because back then all of us just assumed that Jose would keep the seat warm for Roko Ukic to come and be the saviour of the Raptors.

Calderon is a baller. He's got my vote for the top 10. Just watched him have an extremely efficient, productive game against the Wizards and discovered that this is a relatively frequent occurrence for him.

17-28.. A team of untouchables who just can't seem to get it together. Now that is:

How about contributing something to the discussion? Too hard? I think there is a legitimate argument for both players.

Calderons stats have been off the charts and he's been a big reason for our success. (24-20) Kidds stats are hollow to me, he puts up good stats and his team loses. He has Vince and Jefferson but somehow his team is 7 games under 500? His shooting has also been absolutely atrocious.

Parkers stats and play has been pretty damn good this year. He's almost impossible to stay in front of. Calderons stats as a starter have also been off the charts, 14 and 10 with 50/40/90 and the best asst/to ratio in the league. Since Parker has been doing his thing for awhile I would still rank him ahead of Jose but come next season if Jose keeps it up it might be a different story.

All three are good PGs and none of them are that far apart interms of talent. I don't think there is anything to laugh at.

I'd say Calderon falls in the 3rd tier..he's definitely in the top 10..I might be forgetting somebody, but I don't think I'm forgetting 2 players, so that would put him in the top 10..

his effeciency numbers are great, and he's contributing heavily to a good team by East standards..and more importantly, what have these other players done? Nelson? Miller? Felton? Mo Williams? what have any of these players done?..

Calderon is better than Nelson certainly but it amazes how bad people think Nelson is.

I mean is 11ppg, 46%fg, 35%three-pt, 80%ft, 4rpg, 6apg all in 29mpg really that bad?
