Who do you really expect to win your poll considering you posted this in the raptors forum?

Yes folks, above sig/tweet is real!
When asked about the state of his groin injury, Primoz Brezec had the following observation: "The groin is a gangster."

Dwight Howard will win because of his name recognition.

That and because he was robbed last year.

Our man Moon, because he was a Globetrotter.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Oh please, Dwight put everyone to sleep. Oh look at me, I'm 6'10" and can place a sticker on the backboard and dunk at the same time, bid deal.

Name recognition, lol, you mean like Gerald Green, and Fred Jones winning it. Half the players who have won the dunkoff were no namers.

The dunkoff has been pathetic since VC won it.

I'm cheering for Moon, but has anyone every seen or heard of him doing a 360, a through the legs dunk, or anything like that? He's got hops, but can he do the fancy dunks you need to do to win the dunk comp?

Fans are voting this year, so yes name recognition means a lot.

I agree it meant nothing in the past, but this year it could mean everything.

i hate to say it but Howard will win, i wasnt really impressed with his dunks last year, the sticker thing was nothing that great considering he is like 6'10"+ maybe if Nate did that than it would be amazing. Even after watching Howard's dunks in practice on youtube (those good ones he never got to show) i still didnt think they were anything that great, its just sideshows. Like hitting his head on the rim, or kissing the rim but all the same DUNK.

He will win cuz the fans will vote for him cuz o its "DWIGHT HOWARD" but if someone does something like vinces dunks than that person should win. not a stupid tomahawk with your two shoes tied together.

yeah i agree...i hope not, but that's how i see it happening too...mj won in chicago over 'nique doing the foul line dunk, which i believe is the most overrated dunk...especially if you've used it before!! but it's mj, it's chicago, etc...Howard will win because it's Howard...

Does anyone really care about the dunk competition. Basketball and hockey all star weekends have turned into Probowl weekends. Incredibly un-interesting!

IMO most likely to win in this order.

1. Gay/Moon - It depends on what they guys pull out of their hats, fans want to see these guys.

3. Howard - He will put on a good show, but big men do not get extra points in the comp.

4. Green - The only thing he had going for his trade cause, he will lose it and realize that he is a nobody.

i think gay or green will win based on the dunks i've seen them perform.

i want moon to win but honestly i haven't seen anything creative from him yet, neither has anyone else here so i can't see how others are expecting moon to win.

When has Moon had the chance to show anything creative during games? All his drives to the basket have been contested. Had he had a clear cut to the basket vs Milwaukee I guarantee he would've shown us something.

the point is HAS he?

if i had to lay out some money i would put it on green or gay cause i've seen what they can do. moon is almost a wild card here. i don't care if he hasn't had a chance to do something creative, the fact is that he hasn't shown it yet so how can he be the favourite?

So basically you're saying you're expecting 360 windmills and between the leg alley oops in the middle of games over defenders? Get real.

no i'm saying is that no one really knows what moon can do out there. so how the heck can he be the favourite when we've seen green win last year and gay with a variety of nice in game dunks??
