Would you be willing to take CWeb if the price is right?

Moderators: Chris Porter's Hair, floppymoose, Sleepy51

I would be willing to take in CWeb for vet's minimum

I'd be willing to take in CWeb for more than the vet's min.

If he was willing to take the vet's minimum would you take CWeb?

If so, how much would you be willing to pay him?

Would you be willing to do an S & T with Detroit and give him part of our TPE? If so, how much would you be willing to give him.

Just curious how most of the posters feel about this?

A few points that don't need to be made..

1. Harrington is not going to play less minutes at C...OK..If you think Nellie plans on slowing our pace..you havnt been paying attention to anything..

2. Webber will either be our backup C or starting C...Biedrins and Webber will split up around 30 minutes of PT...This will mean more minutes for Andris to visit with Brandan and Patrick on the bench.

3. Anybody who thinks Nellie is about to cut down on smallball needs to get HIS FREAKIN HEAD EXAMINED!!...

Now back to the poll.

I cannot believe some of the people who have problems with GP's personality aren't expressing the same concerns for Webber's... GP's a great teammate... Webber won't go inside...

Convenience arguments are the best  Don't go holding all players to the same kind of accountability... that's not the Warrior way :noway:

If Payton were 6'10 and could replace Pietey at PF and Al at C, I'd be all for it.

Man, I screwed up. I left off the most important choice: paying him vets min which is what I would pick. Sorry guys, my bad.

Last I saw, Webber had gotten slow and his shot was off...if that's still the case, I wouldn't want him on the team at all. If he's whipped himself into playing shape, then vet's minimum.

8) Lf is right....Webber would basically be the slower Croshere...at best..And would bitch and moan over the fact he'd seldom see over 10 min. No chance the W's spend a dime of TPE. Not to get a guy the Sixers PAID OFF asnd the Pistons felt was not near as useful as Maxiel...at any price. Webber has not played D in a few years and his shot selection ain't good. Further....he lobbied for MULLIN to get traded...then did his power trip when it was Owens-his buddy-- instead. Keep in mind, Sprewell had a good attitude until Webber taught him to be a manipulative SOB.

There are SLOW teams with no bench, who do not have a history with Webb....and none of them wants him at even low$
CENSORED... No comment.

Marc Stein says...

"The Warriors have offered to sign him for the rest of the season for a pro-rated share of the league's $1.2 million veteran minimum."

Nellie with the pregame all but confirmed that he's comin in.

Nellie doesn't usually go public before things happen.

No better than Austin Croshere? They're pretty different players if you ask me.

Croshere cannot pass the ball anywhere near Web.

Webber cannot run or get up in the air like Austin still can.

The question is can either guy stay healthy.

Obee>Web

Web> Austin

Web> Burke/Benga

Web> Pietrus

Al > Web except rebounding then Web > Al

Web = Kosta JK

We could always get a time machine to get CWebb back to his prime.

I think you can still add that option. Not like that's "scientific," but that's no surprise!

One thing C-Webb will have going for him are very low expectations.

That's why this is a pure revenge move! Brilliant! Nellie would do the same to Cohan, if he could!

Either that or he gets major minutes at PG.
