Are you kidding me? Watch how much your team hacks, I guess you guys believe in the concept, "You can't call every foul"

How classy... I know most Boston fans are intelligent posters, but I guess YOU aren't one of them.

Oh please...Any other player would've gotten a tech for that crap... But whatever... we didnt have the league MVP for this year, and it took a hail Mary from the scrub Turkoglu to beat us..Shows the Magic are not so good as everyone else thinks...

No. You don't take a swing at a player whose almost a foot shorter than you and is just doing what he does. Rondo was going for the steal, and Howard tried to punch him in the face. There is NO excuse for that bitch move he tried to pull.

Howard is soft, if you get physical w/ him, he cant handle it...I think the same thing happened in the first game down in Orlando with Pollard(BTW where the hell has he been - must be off shooting more features for Comcast Sports net). The guy(Howard) has alot of talent, but he needs to grow up
Look at those Bobcats......There laying on the floor!!!...Improbable

Overall a great game. Orlando is a solid team that I wouldn't want to face in the 1st or 2nd round. Hopefully they face Detroit in the 2nd round before one of them meets up with us.

I used Artest as an example because he's the poster children for foul behaviour. The issue here is that the rules should be applied in the same way to every player. A swipe thrown by Artest is as dangerous as one thrown by Howard. Once the damage is done, it doesn't make a difference if you are a good or a bad guy.

Agreed. And for the record, I would be embarrassed if KG or Perk tried to pull **** like that. Everyone praises Howard for this "good guy" ****, well I'm yet to see it.

If the Cs are healthy, the series MIGHT make six games...the Magic are not built for the playoffs..a whole bunch of soft jumpshoters and poor PG play with a big man who cant score when he is pushed off his comfort zone... Easy pickings for either us or Detroit.

Orlando posters, I commend you for not getting into a shouting match on this Howard issue. Some C's posters are taking a more attacking approach to the discussion and you're not stooping to that level. Congrats.

NOTE: SuperD, just to be clear, this point in no way relates to your posts. Very level headed and in an engaging manner as usual.

Thats funny, my roommate and I were just saying this damn this Rondo kid is no joke. Rondo made a bunch of nice plays as soon as he came back. I bet the Suns are pissed giving him away, he would be a perfect fit in that Suns attack.

I'm curious though, how has his shot looked this year. I know everytime the Cetics play the Magic it looks great, is it a fluke or has he really developed a reliable jumper?

He is my pick as top young pg in the east!

Are you an NBA fan or what? The Celtics are among the softer teams in the league. The only Celtic that could be regarded as dirty is James Posey.

I agree about Dwight Howard's limited range, but I think that they are deadly because of their outside shooters. Their like Toronto, but with a Beast in the middle.

You're probably right. All the other great young point guards seem to be in the West. Paul and Deron Williams pop into my head.

Its the same thing every year with Dwight. You let him get behind the defense, he will dunk. You let him get position 5 feet away from the basket, he will throw the hook. But you push him away from his zone, he has NO offensive moves..None. And he does not have a face-up game either. Its either dunks and layups, or nothing for him/ Thats why this team is not really a contender. They will be lucky to make it out of the first round.

Honestly I will agree with you on that, he has been working on his jumper of the glass but it is FAR from being a reliable weapon. BUT my question to you is, "How easy is it to push him away from his zone?" Everyone knows this fact, but its a lot harder to do then say.

Look at his numbers against the Cs the last two years. The one thing Perk does is he plays Howard physical and does not let him get his normal post position. His numbers against the Cs are far less than what he has against teams that have a.weak pick-and-roll defense and b. non-physical big men. I am surprised no one criticizes Howard for his lack of offensive game. He has been in the league long enough... Look at Jefferson. The guy is a LEGIT post player. Take away Howard's dunks and you take him completely out offensively.

Perk was actually doing a decent job, but most people cannot stop him. What totally killed us is the small ball crap. As Boston and Orlando fans know Doc Rivers seems to like this strategy even when its not a good idea.

Did Shaq ever develop his game further then 5 feet from the basket? I don't think so...

I'm not disagreeing in saying Howard needs some more range, but look how good he is already without it.

BTW, Dwight has only been in the league 4 years AND he is coming from HS. Lets look at how he compares to a Garnett in his 4th year.

Garnett, PPG=20.8 RPG=10.4 BPG=1.8
Dwight, PPG=22 RPG=14.9 BPG=2.6

This is a bit too extreme, but the numbers seem to support your opinion to a certain level. Howard has shot 56% from the field this season (334-560). If you do not count his 152 dunks, however, his FG% is .446. Unfortunately for other teams, as the provocative Orlando fan was saying, it is not easy to keep Howard away from the hoop.

Howard is still developing, but you guy's are pointing his offensive flaws, but he gave us 5 blocks 16 rebounds and he changed alot of shots. Yes he needs to work on his offense, but he is still just a kid. Good game
