Did Shaq ever develop his game further then 5 feet from the basket? I don't think so...

I'm not disagreeing in saying Howard needs some more range, but look how good he is already without it.

See... Shaq had LEGIT post-up moves, including his deadly spin on the baseline. Howard has a hook and a spin, but you can counter BOTH of them by bodying him up. Neither of them have a face-up game, but Shaq's post moves were FAR superior when he came into the league. And you really couldn't push Shaq around either.

Oh please...Any other player would've gotten a tech for that crap... But whatever... we didnt have the league MVP for this year, and it took a hail Mary from the scrub Turkoglu to beat us..Shows the Magic are not so good as everyone else thinks...

Thats funny cause wasn't it the Celtics who barely won against the Raptors, Wolves, Bobcats, Heat....

Dude..its been almost 5 years since he has been in the league... And if you are a 'franchise' big, you need to have SOME go-to moves. If your game is solely dependent on pick-and-rolls and alley-oops, you are not a franchise big. And your team will be nothing more than playoff fodder....

What totally killed us is the small ball crap.

I don't see how the small ball crap killed the C's. The team seemed to play at its best when Posey was at the 4 and Powe was at the 5. Howard didn't wreak havoc as he normally does despite the small ball lineup, and the C's clearly needed someone to matchup with the Lewis or Hedo at the 4, and Posey was the best fit, not to mention he stretched the D in a way Perk, Scal, or Baby wouldn't have been able to.

I think your missing the point, no one is killing his ppg , they are evauating his lack of offensive skills at this point of his career.
Look at those Bobcats......There laying on the floor!!!...Improbable

Your argument is super-flawed as you forget about KG's rebounding, his PASSING , which Dwight knows NOTHING of, his defense and his intangibles.

Defense? I'll give Garnett props in his defense, because he can guard multiple positions, however don't act like Dwight can't defend. He is one of the better defensive centers in the league.

The passing thing should come one day, right now your are correct. He is a weak passer out of the double team. But remember Shaq wasn't that great either, he lead the league in turnovers his rookie year.

I like ORL as a team, that was a fun game and I wouldn't mind playing agaisnt them in the playoffs.

Turkey glue is funny to watch play.

And D-12 is still just a little too young to bring this type of team far enough to really give me a scare. 2 out of the 3 times when the game has been close down the stretch D-12 has lost his cool and pushed people or hit them after plays. That will usually end up as a critical mistake in the playoffs.

Here is the thing. You NEED to double Shaq. You can get away with single coverage of Howard. Thats why I am surprised he is not criticized for his offensive growth. And Howard is a good shot blocker, but an average man defender. I saw Al pump-fake him and score at will on him. But he is a terrific weak-side defender/shot-blocker though. I still dont consider him a franchise center. He is good, but not one you can build an offense around.. atleast not yet. All of Orlando's offense comes from one-on one- moves, not any inside-outside stuff.

Lets just say that KG and Dwight are both great and call it a day. These guys are probably the best center and power forward in the league.
