Maybe a package with Burnett along Eckstein and maybe Adam Lind and a prospect ....maybe the Reds might be interested in getting rid of Dunn for the package. I might be being too generous too.

Burnett could opt out meaning high draft picks for the Reds, Eck is expiring and Lind and the prospect are yet to be determined...but will fit in nicely.

I'd much rather have Eck if we make the playoffs, than any of the ss mentioned above.

We got to get there first and right now that goal is miles away and Eckstein has been a liability. Weak offense and poor defense.

What is it about Eckstein's career .278/.333/.668 post-season line that gets people so hyped up? His numbers in the World Series have been very good, but those are pretty small sample sizes...in 2006, he was awful in the NLDS and mediocre in the NLCS before winning the WS MVP.
